  You could always check with the developers on the forum, they are quite active there - at least in this beginning phase: http://chroniclesofelyria.com/forum. Another good place to hunt for an answer would be the always well-informed player blog "Elyria Echo", over at https://elyriaecho.wordpress.com/. It has some of the same pics - so they'd probably know if those are in-engine or not...

  The first two are probably art, the third one however looks a little more like it could be in engine, though it could also be artwork as well. You could tell the first two are art because there are people down there, rough shadows or figures of men standing in the middle of no where, while the third, at least the floor resembles another image on their website where that looked like it was in engine, where the floor looks the same in some ways, though it's probably art because it looks very much like the first two pictures in every other respect.

  However, very interesting ideas... Reminds me a lot of DDO, in order to "Beat the game" you need to reincarnate as every class at least once to obtain the right to select the "Completionist" feat, where you pretty much have to get the highest level, and restart from lv1 carrying a small, little buff with you onto your next lives. It'd be interesting to see something of the same here as well.
