Ginno Games and HanGame have parted ways for publishing Devilian Online in Korea. As of September 21st, HanGame will shut down the Korean version of Devilian, with all user data handed back to Ginno Games pending finding a new publisher and relaunching the game.

    I don't think this is the end of the world. Hopefully TRION puts out a statement to put people at ease. I think that Devilian can be popular in the west and I do hope for it to come out soon. Not to mention the Thai version I'm pretty sure is the lead platform.

    This is the game that Trion is publishing, although games that shut down in their native country usually don't last very long in other markets. Though this sounds (from what I'm reading) less like "GAME FAILING HARD!" and more like the publisher is changing directions and cutting less successful ventures.

    Zinno had disagreement with Han Games and they decided to cancel the contract and take over all the player data so that they can publish it on their own, they will 1st look for other options but if that takes too long they will publish themselves. Since the game is doing quite well in korea, they don't want to lose playerbase over some spilled beans.

    can be popular? dude is path of exile popular? diablo3? I hardly find people who will quit any of these 2 to play another same thing again, it will be a niche game at the best, and trion fame are putting people off even more.

    but serious if the game was that well why a publisher would cut the game off? if it was profitable I don't see then giving it up or breaking contracts or anything

    Another trion game by a far east company. I got burned enough by Archeage.. plus Path of Exile keeps getting better for me. Dont see why anyone would switch from that or D3 to this.

    trion gonna publish it in NA/EU anyways..they have already announced it unless something dramatic like this happens...but i do not think this game going to be successful in west..we have to wait and see.

    Another P.O.S game and Trion will probably STILL publish it in the West.. This is a train wreck waiting to happen..

    I know right.  This game certainly looks better than D3 to me, but not like that is a particularly high bar to set.

    saw the hive's video and game looks really bad . i don't understand why trion choos this game to publish while there are why batter asian mmorpg out there . Maybe they could bring lost ark to na/eu .And who says this game is better than d3 , not played d3...

    I don't know. I can't help but to think that Trion picked this one up for cheap and will ultimately try to do the same thing it did to ArcheAge - disguise it as FTP, but sneak around and make it virtually impossible to do anything without purchasing some type of cash shop loot potion, xp potion, etc. no thanks

    Got a good laugh out of that.  If the game was doing well, it would not have been axed would it?  

    Only Trion could pick a loser like this.

    It seems bluehole and their subsidiaries are having trouble with their publishers. Bluhole just lost their taiwan/hongkong/macau region publisher for TERA.
