Friend of mine visited this site to see what potential mmorpg might be next to play. He noticed the rating of 7.0 and assumed my opinion was biased.
After 2 days playing the free trial he realized how right I was and how wrong that rating score is. Do new players a favor and redo your review. Im sure many (like me previously) forgot to change their score. Heck, my score was an 8.2 because the review was unchanged since Oct 2003

You didn't look at the score it deserves then, because they rereviewed it!
Maybe you thought it deserved higher that what they gave the NGE.

7.0 from review, 7.0 from players. Although vets would rate it much lower.
And if it weren't Star Wars, it would be much lower.
Sad thing is, not much has changed since the review. Last publish fixed a few bugs, added a few specials, but it's a drop in the ocean of incompletness.
If there were a category of unfulfilled promises, it would rank 11.
Compared to other games, it is a much worse product. But if you like it, one review shouldn't bother you.
I redid mine the day NGE went live I gave it a whopping 0

I like this thread, everyone who is a member of this site should review this game.
I tried giving it all zeros (justifiably) but the lowest I can go seems to be all ones? Anyone tell me how I can make them zeros?
I was just about to redo my review, but i havent been here for a while and i don't have enough points. now i have to post things and such to redo the review, because i said the same things, no way that this game deserves a 7.0 after NGE.
Should pre-NGE reviews be allowed to stay posted?? The game doesn't exist as it once did. It is a different game. Powers That Be, can they be deleted? Then at least anyone using this site to research the game would have a more up to date overview of the game itself.
[edit] to strengthen this arguement, i just ordered DAoC on the basis of this sites reviews and would be a tad upset to load it up and find that there had been upgrades changing the game beyond the all recognition from the reviews. If i were not a regular here, the overall rating page would have been my first port of call.
i think we should give ALL soe games ratings of 1's to be honest ... that how much i think the company sucks ...
and now SOE is trying to destroy city of heros/villains with its new Bullsh*t DC comic universe game ...
more license BULLSH*T.. to sucks players away from GOOD games to follow the franchises they've been fans of since their little ...

I gave this game an honest assessment, and a review. I saw the "passing grade" it had, and thought, this is utterly ridiculous. In all honesty, I had to rate graphics kinda high, cause even if SOE ruined the game, the graphics are still pretty good in my opinion, but I threw alot of 1s and 2 for the obvious fatal flaws that SOE injected into "the best MMORPG ever made", converting it to trash data, deserving to be scrubbed from their servers, and replaced with Divix episodes of Barney.
For the record, I don't look into any new MMORPG anymore without giving various Forum pages a thorough scan, to see just how much the Company developing the game is working with those players posting legitimate concerns. If I see a # of flames that reach a threshold, I write it off as a no-go.
