hey,
you guys should really check out Lineage 2. It's p2p in Korea, and N. American beta is scheduled to be announced before the end of the year. I got a chance to play the Korean open beta and it was one of the coolest games I've ever played. It had 150,000 subscribers on the first day of p2p in korea (that is a record in korea btw). The advertisement for N. American version is almost nothing, so i thought i would pass along some word-of-mouth info. It uses the unreal warfare graphics engine and the graphics are breathtaking. It starts out as a hack and slash game... but after a while you can create/join a clan, raise wolves. dragons. Also, you'll be able to lay seige on castles and take over land, run the economic system in the surrounding area. The ultimate goal is world domination. There is no level cap, and new jobs/skills are added in patches as the game progresses. This game is unbelievable imo.

i am really looking forward to lineage 2 there is only 1 problem i have with that game, no level cap. Its kind of annoying cause i don't think im the first but i play to be the best. Basically if i want to be the best i have to play the most cause u could keep leveling on forever cause there is no cap.

it's supposed to be 14.95/mo. i think... well... rumor is it will be the same price as Lineage 1, but u will have to buy the game 49.95 and it wont be a free d/l like L1.
So far, the estimated release is Feb 26th, 2004. That's the date given here on the website and the pre-order date at GameStop and EB Games.
i suggest trying out the open beta whenever it starts. The one in Korea lasted approx. 2 months and it was free d/l. I don't know anything about US open beta other than they plan to announce when it will start before the end of the year.
If yer Taiwanese, Tai Open Beta is supposed to be very soon. I know that Tai Closed and Japanese Closed betas have already begun.

What you said does not work out. If you play to be the best and say there is a level cap, you reach level 99 someone else will reach level 99 and your no longer the best but equal. No level cap = you can always be the best.
Im really looking foward to this game, head over to lineage 2 section of the forums if you want to discuss it.
