Same crap they pulled with Archage. This is a chance for mmo gamers to make a statement by not giving triton their money. Why support this crap that Trion is trying to pull again?
I agree sadly this game looks like its developed on a third party engine aka not U.S Designed so it will likely be just as bad as Arche Age or worse.
Now... I dont want to be that guy... but
GOOD!!
The thing is, the Koreans are so far ahead of most US studios in terms of technology that having it developed on an engine that was not made in the US is a good thing. Hell, even Europe has better engine designers than the US.
The US Are good at hollywood blockbuster production of games, and their presentation of games is generally second to none, but technologically, having a game come out on an engine designed in Korea is a good thing, trust me.
Or by engine did you mean something else?
Also, of all the problems with Archage, Engine Performance is not one of them. You do know what a game engine actually does right? as opposed to say a renderer or a load balancer?
That said, 150 Quids for a founders pack.
No thanks Trion, your Greed is getting beyond a joke at this stage. Atleast Skyforge charged reasonable prices for their founders pack. 150 quid as your top and 50 as your entry level for a F2P game is a joke.
If this was 20.50.75 I would drop cash on one, but I will not spend 150 Quid on your founders packs....
Also, dropping an ARPG right as Diablo 3 launches its new Season, bad timing bro as the hardcore ARPG fans who would be most likely to look at this, are all busy at the moment.
Trying to get as much money now from the founder packs because they know the game is gonna suck. Trion is becoming a very bad company greed wise that reminds me of SOE and Smedley. They are getting games from overseas now that fail and re releasing them as new here in the states and charging $50.00 to $150.00 for a F2P game with a cash shop. Make your own games Trion and quit being lazy trying to turn around failing games in America for profit by ripping players off.
Can remember how impressed i was at Trion, when Rift launched and had their glory days. But after AA and now this, it's like they are taking their reputation and trying to milk every gamer who believed and supported Trion back in the days.. Was actually looking forward for this, since ARPG's is the thing for me atm.. but this is just stupid..
And normally i dont mind buying a "founders pack" if it was because i helped a dev team, trying to make a game to the marked like kickstarter games.
I can't decide if Trion is just feeling ballsy or just had too much to drink. Given the sorry state of the Archeage preorder, a game what was by comparison hotly anticipated, these offerings do seem a tad overambitious.
Also it seems that Trion thinks that $150 = €150. I can tell you that 150 euro is around 168 dollars. Way to screw over the Euros.
Sad thing is there are tons of idiots that are probably going to buy this just cause of the Corgi. Even the poor Corgi is being corrupted these days. /facepalm
Hope the sentiment I am reading here spreads, would be awesome if gamers finally come together and make a statement to these game devs. Sadly the ONLY way to make them listen is with money.
Oh Trion, you were once so highly thought of, and now look at you.

Korea is like one sixth of America, and a lot more options for games of the sort. It's not all that surprising. The only reason it will do well in America for now, is there really isn't many ARPG MMOs out there. Diablo III has no PvP and isn't an MMO. Path of Exile is the closest we come, and it's not very comparable. There are a handful of other single player ARPGs and a few UO clones, but besides that not much.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
pay me 150$ and im going help you find the bugs your stupid f2p port from korean who failed in korean.
im not going pay money for help you trion that just logic
but go away and get just a few people who will help you test your game and release it full of bugs and you will fail again.
im never ever going pay for test something not released, i got money but i spend my money not in stupid way like that.
Someone needs to put up 3 gameplay videos. One of Devilian, one of AA, and one of rift (since they had the nightmare w/e pack for 150$ as well) and compare which game looked more worth the pack prices. I dont personally care if someone pays 150$ on something in rift or AA but for some reason it would make me rage if someone did on a Diablo style game when D3 isn't even half 150$.
Not this time Try-On.
I paid $150 for the AA beta pack. At the time, I thought it was a good purchase. However, after launch... it was clear that AA was the worst PAY 2 WIN experience I've ever seen. They completely destroyed it and pissed on the ashes.
No thanks.
More expensive than Blade&Soul founder's packs for a game almost no one had heard of before Trion picked it up. Really? Although Blade&Soul founder's packs didn't come with corgis so that must be what drove the price up.
Comments
Trion = the new SoE
Scott Hartsman = the new John Smedley
Seriously stay away from Trion stuff until they put their act together.
Don't try to give the excuse that they were having issues with the publishers, the game was not very popular to start with.
Scott Hartman has truly surpassed Smedley in the idiot department.
