During our several hour time window with Trion Worlds at PAX we were treated to a nice preview of the upcoming 2.0 patch for ArcheAge. Bringing the NA and EU versions right behind the KR original, 2.0 packages loads of content and upgrades for all AA fans.

I only care if they have found a way to fix mass hacking/boting in the game. I know there is no way to completely eradicate hacking and boting from the game, but if more then lets say 20% are doing it eaa ill still pass on giving them my time which leads to my money :P.

When they get rid of labor points, then I might care about AA. Until then, it is the same old wasted game (and not dealing with the hackers has been almost as bad).

If they had a server with no cash shop/labor point system, and you just paid $15/month, I'd give it a second shot.

@DMKano - What does the cash shop look like right now in regards to Archeum, Rumbling Trees, etc (stuff that people might consider p2w)?

Very well worded. Key point being that TRION do not get another chance, not specifically AA.

I played Rappelz to level 92 so I can say this: Any game that uses heavy RNG factors and then adds the ability to modify those RNG factors using real money is the worst kind of P2W, becasue it uses consistency that builds over time and separates the real players from the wannabe players by chasms that cannot be bridged.

I'm looking forward to it, it's still semi-P2-go faster-and maybe win a bit more in certain situations - but the P2W is much much less. Labor is still in the game, but Labor is fine, I don't mind it. It keeps the economy stable. I DONT want this game turning into WoW's AH where you can sell your wares for a very cheap amount, you may have well just vendored it. I can imagine people mining forever just to get 200 gold ore, the AH is completely filled with that and any other gatherable resource, then all the crafters buy it all for cheap, the best gear is crafted within days and subsequently everyone has the best gear because its flooding the market, then with no RNG (cus everyone hates RNG) we upgrade our gear and everyone quits.

I was perma-banned from the forums for telling them why I was going to quit archeage during the hack-fest. I didn't cuss, I didn't call anyone names, and I wasn't aggressive. At the same time, there were dozens of other posts cussing them out for letting all these things happen. I saw them still posting the next week. Trion will never get another penny from me, my family, or my friends. Enjoy paying 15.00 a month in order to be limited by labor guys! lol
