A minimum of five weekend beta events will be held over the course of at least twenty days. Even better for excited fans is the news that Blade & Soul will be launching in Q1 2016.

I can swear that I had read that B&S is coming out the end of this year... instead this changed to beta testing and possibly release in the first quarter of the next year. Feels like they are delaying on purpose. Or perhaps they are so confident in themselves that they want to challenge WoW: Legion by releasing in relatively close time to it's release.

Ohh yey! Beta tests for a localisation of a 3 year old game. And you only have to pay to participate.

So, their founders pack gives access to 4 beta weekends 3.5 days each + 1 beta weekend that's 6.5 days + 3 days of headstart. Total of 23.5 days.

Cheapest founders pack is 22.49 euros. That means their closed beta costs 95 cents/day to participate.

They only ever said this Winter. Q1 2016 is still in that timeframe.

I think it's a bit strange how they've dated that last beta to end on Dec. 21th.

One would think that if they weren't planning to release the game during Christmas/New Year Holidays, then they'd have scheduled us a beta test there to give us some good playing time.

You need to look at other games before judging a game release. Wildstar went f2p recently, and we got a major DLC in ESO. Next month sees the first GW2 expansion and the game-altering SWTOR expansion (and the movies shortly after will bring more people into TOR because fanbois). Then you have the holiday season, where lots of console games are released. They really don't have a choice but to release this after the holidays but before WoW's expansion. Otherwise, they'll need to wait until spring for the best marketing opportunity to launch (which isn't smart).

delay delay and delay some more....3 months to beta test a localisation ? come on lol  , i guess they are hoping to sell Founder packs ..........good luck with that i say ;)

Sorry, but I'm done buying founder packs for a few days of beta testing. We keep getting higher and higher prices on these founder packs and less and less actual playing time. I'm looking forward to trying this at release, but all this pay to test stuff makes me laugh. You aren't going to get any quality testing from a bunch of derps who just paid 25$ to play the game early. All they are really testing is the hardware. Another marketing beta is all this seems to be.

I agree with what you say, but still I think that recently they realized that they can get some decent $$ from founders packs and decided to try and milk that cow as well.
Last 1-2 years more and more games end up getting more from their founders packs than they get afterwards.

Dont see founders packs as a problem, Why not get money from people that are Willing to pay.   your not ripping someone off by giving them what they want.

And those that dont like them , or dont want to pay before a game is out can still do that

oh so its a 4 year old game now when we get it in 2016. I've been wanting to play this game in the u.s. for YEARS. but now, its lost its luster over the course of the years. i'll still give it a whirl, but its not at the top of my list anymore. it was sooooo cutting edge back in 2012. now its just ok

Ok I'm going to draw a positive first. At lease we are not being insulted with a faux alpha cough cough Archeage (ferk u hartsman ya bastard) Cowboy suites and $125 dollar founders packs? ahh well i guess they believe there is still many many suckers born every minute? /facepalm! oops there actually is isn't there? bwahahahaha well played then B&A well played.

I've had my fill of Asian MMO ports thank you very much. Archeage was the last straw for me. Also I am failing to see the value in all these packages. The prices are super high for the upper two. The PvP looks like it might be good, but I also refuse to traditionally level another character. Another grind-fest to access the content that I want to play. No thanks. I'll hold out another year for Camelot Unchained, Crowfall, and/or Star Citizen. Skyforge is a nice distraction in the mean time.

    >Another grind-fest to access the content that I want to play. >Skyforge is a nice distraction Am I missing something here? The game aged well as hell. Is still FAR beyond pretty much any themepark that has been released in the last 5+ years. I never saw any "huge" MMORPG evolution happen in these past 3 years to say that something before it has already "aged". All of em are still mechanically and graphically on the same level.

I'm the hardcore player, the one that rushes lvl cap before you even finish the starting area.

I assuming he's referring to being able to access pvp, which is silly because BnS's pvp can be accessed in as little as a couple days. Last time I checked, it was a week or two to even be able to play the class I wanted in Skyforge, which combined with tedious aoe spewing meat shield bosses, put me off the game entirely.

I play Skyforge since EA(50k Prestige now) and the PvP is a CC Nightmare without DR.
