What is a good FPS to play right now?

I am looking for a good FPS to play.  I tried to give Planetside 2 a try but it seems dead. 

Previous to that I used to play Battlefield 2142, Counter Strike Source, and Team Fortress 2, but obviously these titles are ancient.  I mention them to give a frame of reference for what I used to like.  

Blizzard's Overwatch is a ways off I believe.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Tribes Ascend (F2P)
    CS:GO
    Insurgency
    Payday 2

    Single player:
    Wolfenstein The New Order
    Wolfenstein The Old Blood
    Shadow Warrior (2013)
    Metro 2033 & Last Light
    BioShock 1/2/Infinite
    Borderlands 1/2/Pre-Sequel (also up to 4 player co-op)

    Far Cry 3 & 4

    Deus Ex: Human Revolution if you want some rpg thrown into the mix as well as it is a brilliant game.

    If you're looking for a newer title with a old school feel you could check out Toxxik on Steam. It's still early access but it's a proper FPS, none of this P2W F2P crap.

    I'm a big fan of Insurgency.  It's quite a fun game, especially if you're looking for something that's a little more team oriented but still fast paced.  Obviously TF2/Counter Strike are good options and Planetside 2 is great if you're looking for something on a larger scale.  If you're not interested in any of those titles...  Natural Selection 2 is fun, though I can't begin to tell you how the community is holding up these days.  I'm guessing there's still players around.  ARMA III is great if you like simulation games and it's got a huge selection of great mods.
    I like to complain about games.
