Not all companions will return in the story of Star Wars: The Old Republic’s upcoming expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire. We’ve seen Kira Carsen so far, but everyone else is essentially in limbo right now.

Where did you hear that all won't be returning? I thought you start with them all, but based on your decisions may lose some.

Functionally, you'll be able to keep all your companions for gameplay purposes. So, if you enjoy playing with X Y or Z companion, BioWare isn't taking that away from you. However, the KOTFE story will not involve all pre-KOTFE companions. Some will return to you as part of the story, while others will not.

Many Sith Warriors are very fond of Jaesa (and would prefer to see her as an option), despite the questionable lines in her dialogue choices. Personally, I liked the storyline leading to her betrayal of the Jedi, and would welcome her return to what amounts as little more than a dark-side-slut-for-hire (and I don't mean that in the way most would have written it..I play a female Chiss Jugg and have no romantic interest in her).

I want light side jaessa romance. it was pretty much bullshit that light side jaessa could not be romanced because she has too much "jedi" in her while working for a sith. And about quinn, i think we will be able to kill him off in 1-50 story again..

I think you misunderstand my hatred for Quinn. I don't want to blow him out of an airlock. I want to violently torture him until he's a babbling vegetable. I want to crush him. I so utterly loathe Quinn it isn't even remotely funny. Out of all the Sith Warrior Companions. I only like my HK. lol.

And to add to my previous post, Kaliyo Djannis should have been bisexual, her personal quest line takes us to a woman who tells : "you seduced me, took me on your bed and then left me(or discarded or something like that)", i think we all pretty much understand what that means. She was bisexual on original writing but then was scrapped because then all other classes had to have bisexual companion for "equal treatment"...

It always felt pretty contrived to me that she was sticking to that part of the Jedi code.
Jaesa pretty much worships the Sith Warrior as the perfect Force user, better than both Jedi and Sith, so the idea of her clinging that part of the code seems a bit... off, especially considering the other very un-Jedi things she helps the SW do. (And yes, that goes for LS versions too. Even LS aligned Empire characters still do some outright horrible things  B) )

So it always felt like they were either saving it for when they originally intended to add new companion content, or it just got axed because otherwise Jaesa would've had way more dialogue than the other LI companions. (not to mention she was already an extra treat in the romance department, seeing how most characters only got one option for each gender)

    More on topic:
(PS: Doc was spotted alongside Kira, so he's pretty much confirmed as returning as well)
I believe most of the main romance options will be returning anyway, so I've added a third choice on my list - one that I'm not sure will be returning, but that I'd definitely love to see again nonetheless.

    Bounty Hunter:
Mako & Torian mostly. Although my DS PT would miss his buddy Gault greatly.

    Agent:
I've always been more of a Temple guy than Kaliyo, so if I had to choose between the two... Temple would likely win. Obviously Vector has to return for the ladies as well. Other than that... SCORPIO (or Kaliyo)!

    Sith Warrior:
Vette, Jaesa and Quinn. Hands down the easiest picks for me. (And also the most worrisome, especially Jaesa... given her two different paths and the fact that she already got muted for SoR... not very promising)

    Sith Inquisitor:
Ashara, Khem Val and Xalek. Alright, at least one of the latter two will likely get axed for Andronikos, but one can hope. (Even if the pirate doesn't seem all that popular a LI as the other males do. He just happened to be the only choice. xD)

    Pretty much, yeah.
Sometimes the whole equality thing can be taken to ridiculous levels.
On the other hand... if they did go with that, there would've been an endless amount of whining as to when the other companions got updated... so I can see why they didn't go with it. =/

You wont realy loose any companions. (story with consequence...) While dooing this new story content your "lost" companions will be unavailable and only the companions you pick up during story will be available during storyline. If that mean that us killing of a companion in story will have no effect outside story i'm not 100% sure. I suspect that it wont have any effect outside story though, witch would be disapointing imo. Feels like this story with consequense doesn't realy have any kind of consequense outside of story.

so is KoTFE like a whole new game?

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

That is the thing, they knew everyone would start screaming why other classes don't have bisexual/homosexual companion and would demand "equal treatment for every class", so they changed kaliyo's personality but still kept the personal story mission same as it was planned, which in turn revealed she is a botched up execution from story team.

Not really, they are trying to take the game to the position where it should have been from the start. it still needs to go a long way after after fallen empire but this is a start.

Actually it will, the devs have not spoiled much but datamining shows we will be able to kill off certain companions during our 1-50 story line, specificaally the companions that had kill able options during beta stage of the game, for example : quinn, ashara, skadge, khem val, kira carsen, tanno vic etc. But that is datamining so i would not take them seriously and wait for official release. But if this turns out to be true and if we went on a new 1-50 toon and killed off some companions, they will be dead and won't ever be returned during fallen empire even outside story areas. And also it has been somewhat indicated by devs that we may find companions from other classes in our fallen empire story line and we may be able to make them join our crew.

I'd like to rebuild the Ravager and use it on Quinn. I will never understand how someone can write a story where a betrayer is allowed to get away scot-free (and remain in the presence of the person s/he betrayed). Hell, my Agent would smoke Kaliyo for cheating on him, even though he moved on to Temple.
