When you have completed the main story line are there any more companions to get or quests to do?  From what I understand there is on cartel quest.

Thanks in advance.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

Also do you need to purchase the expansions?

After you complete the main story line (Level 50) you need access to the planet Makeb from the rise of the hutt expansion.  I dont know if that is being offer for free now but it might be.  That gives you missions to hit level 55 but no new companions.  After that you need to purchase the "Revan" expansion to get access to two more planets and missions to get up to level 60 but again you get no new companions.

My understanding is the new expansion will cost extra (a one time purchase) and will offer a new companion and probably raise the level cap to 65.

You can do the HK-51 mission series to get the HK Companion at 50.
    No purchase required iirc.
What else could you possibly ask for? ;)
