Just posting this for those who are really getting hyped about this game. I am in beta and I will respect the NDA so I won't be giving many specifics here. Basically, I too know how it feels to wait and drool over a game for years and when it comes out it is not exactly up to par (IE EQ2).
I know it's hard not to be excited and I really do hope some of you try the game, just keep your expectations in check or you will be severely let down.
Keep in mind my review is that of a beta product and things could change.
Over all the game isn't that great.
Good Points
1. Interesting Quest system
2. Environment Graphics
3. Storyline
4. Effects are for the most part beautiful
5. Massive Interesting world.
Bad Points
1. Too much fluff, seems they are trying anything and everything to set themselves appart but the effects are useless. The social system being an example of this. No need for it really. Some may find it fun, I don't
2. Awful character graphics.
3. The grind isn't as bad as some would have you believe but it's still there
4. Crappy combat system, it's slow(After they just sped it up) and the animations are delayed and clunky.
5. All Animations look aweful imo.
6. Seems to be lending itself to the eq2 style of combat which sucks.
That's about it so far. I'll keep beta testing in hopes of adding more Good Points then bad. It's about 50/50 good points bad points, but I understand its still beta and hope for improvement.

I was under the impression if that you even say you are in beta thats an infringment on the NDA?
Regardless, from seeing screenies and hype and everything about V:SOH that seems like a realistic representation of the game, mabye a big on the negative side. Not a terrible review. I'm still waiting anxiously for it to come out.
Good thing for myself that I mostly care about how the world itself is as I prefer to mostly explore.
Heck, I can really enjoy just exploring high level areas with a new and weak character.
My point is that when it comes to the rest of the game I don't give it that much thought because of that if it turns out bad then I just spend more time with the exploring, if other things in the game turns out well made then I will simply spend some more time with them.

This is a topic for discussion on the official beta boards, not a 3rd party site. I sincerely hope a moderator takes down your I.P. address and gets you kicked out of the beta. You promised not to do what you're doing here, and you're doing it anyway.
It pisses me off the a'holes like you are in the beta when people who actually want to help improve the game like the rest of us are out here to read your posts.
I "heard" that the diplomacy system is not optional if you intend to do alot of the quests in the game, as you need to do a diplomacy mini game with npc´s for them to give you the quest, wich sucks i might add.
