Actually, if you read the notice in the vein that Farlan has dished out since day 1 ----

free access to groups of 1000 with a lottery to be chosen -- means not all 1000 will win -- so they cant take 1000 all at once.

Also means they looking for more players. Player base is dwindling fast.

If you ask me they will now get even less money from new preorders couse
most of player will try to win the lottery first. ( strange behaviour for company that want to scam people )
It does not matter what they do some people here will turn everything into bad thing.

I usually just try and giver my honest take on the situation IK. That may not always or even usually be complementary for NP3 but nevertheless I only post how I really see things. In this case it looks as if NP3 is starting to realize what deep pile of doo doo they have got themselves into and need to load the server up to see how it will work under load. I won't send them money but I will try and help send them players as long as it does not cost me or whoever I send over that way anything. I have made similar posts on a couple of other general topic gaming forums. If it helps them get their game together then that is not a bad thing.

you just dont get it dude do you? The scam is taking the pre-order upfront and trying to not allow a refund BEFORE THE GAME IS EVEN RELEASED!!! If all they are paying for is DNL, then refunds should be honored up and until they release and/or ship a playable game.

Apparently,those asking for refunds now are being told by Farlan that they are not allowing refunds. Guess what? Click and Buy is refunding no matter what Farlan tries to pull. And try a call to your credit card company, you will find out fast that a refund will be done if requested.

If THAT isnt a scam on Farlans part, man you got some learning to do. And oh yeh, I got a bridge in New York Im willing to sell, upfront cash, no refund, as is..care to take me up on it?

Either way I apologize to anyone who went over there and tried because of this post. How much you wanna bet they are gonna come out with a statement somewhat like:

Due to the THOUSANDS of players registering , it took us some time to choose the 1000 lucky ones so we are sorry for the delay, we wanted those THOUSANDS of players to be able to get in. We will now be sending out the notices.

Some couldnt register. None have stated they recieved their freebie yet. Only a few asked about it and even then, a few of the few were players already! LOL

Why dont they just close up and let the current ones test to their hearts content? Its already obvious the server cant handle what they have now,why are they even attempting to make it seem otherwise? They are still pitching that this isnt the Beta for DNL,.but they themselves called it a Beta and they themselves stated there is no DNL Beta, so what the hell is it then? And why allow a crappyarse game and server crackups ruin the possibility of a "fantastic" world you are waiting for? They are STILL pitching this crap!!

Lame indeed.

it is getting sadder every day over there. Same 10 or 20 posting, other than the 5 post miracle baby's with their "this game looks awesome where can I buy it" posts then you never see them post again once that thread dries up. Over here same old stuff, about half a dozen of us left on the death watch, IGN is the same. A bit more polite over there because of their heavy handed forum mods, but still just a few of us on the DnL forum there too. Of course a guy named Black Sun doing cuts and pastes of everything that NP3 puts on the official site...hmm I wonder...nah just a coincidence I am sure

Anyway you look at it dead game walking, no one even interested in it for free it seems.

Well that lottery was another shame on the part of the DnL team, so was the original SoG release, all the keys gone in a minute, well still. this company wont get a penny of my money untill i've seen some products. I think its true it is becoming a death watch, i think we are basically going to have followed this game from birth to death in the time it takes another game just to blossom into live. At least if we luck at the comical factor will it not win an award for shortest running mmo ever.

Some are suggesting the lottery is a scam now because of the registration problems, just another ruse to get people over there hoping they will pre order. Personaly I think they are having trouble getting 1000 to take em up on the offer

yeha, probably both.

But then again, seems they have had website probs for awhile. So its obvious even the webmaster of the site hasnt a clue what he is doing. What gets me is the explanation someone posted as to why the search button was disabled. It is true that their forum system is the exact one used by almost every other mmo game site out there not to mention the thousands of other sites using the same forum. However DNL claims its the forums fault, causing probs, that made them disable some features. Gimme a break. EVen the smallest sites can run the board without a problem or a bandwidth hog. DNL claims this is why.

Whats getting me now is the long standing problems with bugs and such are now being blamed on the personal computers themselves. Those that have not been fixed supposedly now have a problem with their pc. And in some instances, they are coming back and saying go buy this expensive hardware, then we will see if that fixes it but it is not our side that is causing the problem. !!!!!!!!!!

So yes a pattern has developed..alllllll the problems with SOG/DNL are the fault of the players computer and NOT the game or the forum board or the email or anything else that is messed up.

Yeah nothing is ever N{3 or AD's fault over there it is always the stupid user who has shit equipment. Even the fanbois have take up that mantra now. When they go bankrupt it will because the stupid consumers failed to recognize their greatness I suppose. Their website has long been a joke, this is just the latest screwup.

With all the things that happend since SoG release, the only way I'd consider playing SoG/Beta/DnL is if it was...

...free,
...delivered on a CD at my door by two playboy's bunnies,
...bundled with a 6 zeros cheque.

Then, and only then, would I reconsider giving that game a look.

Chuckle it appears that after a week they still have not managed to get 1000 players to sign up for a free taste of their game....sad as hell isn't it?

I still think the funny thing is that its still broken (unknown user error). Try using it yourself.

I found it unsettling that a company trying to make an MMORPG is unable to fix something as simple as that lottery thing on their website...

My guess is about 20 people signed up for the SoG thing, and instead of them looking pathetic they deliberatly broke the feature, thus giving them an excuse for having a zero fan base anymore.
