Is Matrix Online or SWG gonna hit 5million Subscribers first?
Smedley claims SOE with SWG can dethrone WoW. But I dont' believe it.
I am curious if any of you think the Matrix might do it?

I personally believe that this will NEVER happen. Its subscription level is miniscule compared to WoW. No, never. Its struggling with numbers as it is.
hehe No nothing SOE will make for a long time will ever take out WoW. And has nothing to do with there next game being bad it has to do with the Company rep. I personaly like EQ2 and MxO but SOE has created a bad name for themselfs and Blizzard no matter weather you like them or not has created a great name for themselfs. They always put out a quality product and will often can a project that doesnt meet their standards which is something I can respect.
And as Kirk stated they always make low system requirments. Which is something I have said for a long time, if you want to target a larger amount of people don't force them to upgrade thier computer just to play your game because they wont do it. As much as sony and alot of people would hate me for saying it, alot of companys should take a good long hard look at what Blizzard does and while not copy it at least understand why they are as big as they are.
And I always here the 5 million is an inflated number ok so what lets say they have 3 million thats still a huge number and better then all SOE games. No I dont play WoW anymore but I respect what they have done
SOEs mode of operation is to consistently release unfinished expansions of new content. The latest EQ expansion was full of bugs up to a week before it went live, and those same bugs that existed on the Beta server I saw go live, resulting in numerous patches the following days. Add the SWG betrayal to the list of offenses, and you have a recipe for disaster.
SOE refuses to hold back their slipshod projects, and rush them out to milk as much money out of us as possible, and with this practice continuing, I fail to see how they can ever compete with other developers that run a tighter ship. I have never played WoW, but I have read enough about their Developer-Player relationship to know that they actually care about how the players feel about specific aspects of the game, where SOE just takes a dump on you and says "It's better now, trust us"
Uhm... Neither? Can't see either one getting to 5 million subscribers. I liked what they tried with MxO, but the setting is too limited for that broad of an appeal. And SWG is dead.
Post before me mentioned Sony's bad business practices, from product design to customer service. All true. The best thing for both these titles is for another company to own them.
I doubt either game will ever hit the 5 million mark. But if i had to pick one I'd go with SWG. At least it's a franchise peaple still care about.
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
I am much love for Emmanuel in Space as many times I laugh at good script and excellent word from characters who acting. So much time for erotic scene make me believe in emotion of each person. Try and be catching this show many time late night.
Alas-
I don't know what the heck that had to do with anything, but I had no idea that ther was an Emanuel in space. That would be an intresting MMORPG.....gives me some ideas on how SOE could rvitalize the dancer proffession . . .
