I'm guessing there probably aren't any big company reviews out yet from places like IGN, Gamespot etc but are there any fan made reviews or anything like that which review the game as f2p?

Thanks guys.

Curious also.  Wondering how they did with conversion.

If no reviews, how are people finding it so far?  Any different compared to when it was sub?  I used to play, and got to level 50 but having not logged in for at least 6 months I've no idea what I'm doing.  I was thinking of starting over as I hear they revamped the leveling :/

Well, I can't speak for everyone else, but the PvP is what killed it for me. I have a love/hate relationship with MMO's because of the PvP, and Wildstars BG's is nothing but a sh*tshow clusterf*ck of aoe spam and zerging. I just can't do it.

The PvE has always been about staring at the ground, while entertaining for the first few levels, quickly loses its luster. It becomes a huge grind.

Also, a side note, I hate the map and the quest log. I've never had that problem in any other MMO I can think of, but for some reason Wildstar just... irks me.

There are other threads here that talk about experiences.  Reviews appear mixed.  Some gamers like it some don't.  A few problems at the start.  A lot of them fixed or being worked on.

I played during beta and the last couple of days and it's a game I wanted to like but can't get into.  I'm still trying it so maybe in time I'll like it.

It feels to busy.  The combat is ok.  There's nothing really that stands out yet.  IMO.

Same old, boring questing. But optimization is way much, much better than it was before.

While not a review more like a first expression, I posted this after launch:

"Btw. so far it seems pretty popular, this morning there was even a queue on a couple servers... and maybe the queue (but more likely the crafting updates) stole my pants, so when I logged back my poor esper (similar to the one on the up-right advertise section) stood before the house in her undies lol
Shop is fairly decent, but I just quickly scrolled it over, if I'll have more time I plan to roll a new alt and test the model from scratch"

The queues are a bit worse since launch, but allegedly will be handled soon™.  Heh

If you've played it to 50 before, you know the game, so why's a review needed? The changes are mostly in the lower region, and since it's free, you can check them first-hand. (Plus it was discussed a couple of times, I too praised the Protogames and the early Shiphand in earlier posts, the dumbed down stats... not so much praise from me  ). Bill also had a column about a few changes: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/632/feature/10153/WildStar-Reloaded-and-Overloaded.html

And if you want a review about the model, well, not much to review in that either, pretty friendly and open. Mostly just convenience stuff in the "not free" part, and all of those are accessible via several free routes, from the game.
As a former player you already have a nice chunk of additional boons over the totally free folks anyways.
