Hello there, can anyone tell me what I need to turn a short video clip into a gif slideshow? I'm not sure what programs are needed in order to do this. I was hoping to be able to take each individual frame in the video clip and save as seperate jpegs or gif images and THEN use a program to put together those pics into a gif slideshow. although I don't know what kind of programs I may need to do something like this. Any suggestions?

You can take those individual frames with Windows Movie Maker. If you use Microsoft Windows you certanly have it. Then if you want to make a slideshow with all your images simply download a program named "DVD Photo Slideshow". I dont know exactly where you can download this program but try to find it with a search engine. Both programs are very easy to handle you should have no problems.

Windows movie maker, that's a great idea thanks. DVD photo slideshow, does that make gif slideshows? For example:
I haven't used Windows Movie Maker or DVD Photo Slideshow, but if you're still looking for a program to use I really like Adobe Photoshop. In particular you will need the program Adobe Image Ready. Image Ready can make those slide shows as well as any type of animated GIF. I also use Virtual Dub to get the image sequence I need from any video files.
Sweet deal, thanks for this info bro. Helps a lot to have more options in the choice of programs to use.
