This is a colossally bad decision, making the game 100% unfriendly to the casual player and small guild, who'll now be fodder for the large Korean mobs and frat guilds. /facepalm

I'll probably get warned again for posting a negative comment, but this is just bad game design. It paves the way for gold sellers and I completely agree with @oyjord; the casual player has little chance of enjoying land ownership.

Well in all fairness who is likely to spend more money for the game, large Korean mobs and frat guilds or casual players and small guilds?  Have to cater to where the money is and what your core audience is looking for.

It doesn't sound like a terrible Idea, but who knows until it actually happens. Wasn't there a big issue with Archeage land plots? People were hoarding them and no one new had any chance of getting land.

You can always tell when the funds are getting low, they come up with these hairbrained schemes to raise money.
