Yesterday MMORPG.com received 20,000 gift keys for Wildstar giving players the super-cool "Bandit Carver" mount. They went so fast we have 10,000 more for our community. Get them before they are all gone!

    It's actually character bound, not account bound.

    These things go crazy fast, especially when it's something as popular as a mount for a big game like WS.

    Don't worry about it I got one and spawned it and the textures on it are like mega low res, disgusting really it looks terrible.

    What a bunch of morons, over and over again they make these stupid business decisions alienating the people who support them (How about sending past subs keys) oh wait they are idiots, and no im not but hurt because I actually got a key im just thinking about the official forums rife with people raging over this BS giveaway that trys to get new people in while giving the finger to past Subs who supported them. Please Wildstar fking fail already

    lol at the rage here..

    But for a past Sub you did get alot of stuff that would cost a fair amount in the cash shop. 12+ character slot unlocks. Lots of account bound rewards (dependong on the package of the game you bought), ect.

    So you complain because they are trying to get more / new people to try out the game / ect. is just plain silly.

    You should be happy they didn't just close the game down instead of making the move to f2p and keeping it going. Cause that was there other option at the end of the day. Close the game down and then you would be out the box price + sub you put in and you would have nothing to complain about at that point.

    I'll wear the red ring if it sounds like I'm raging but.... Like I said my distaste for this is due to the fact that this is a sloppy BUSINESS practice. I was in a chat last night with my guild and just for fun decided to ask those who got a key if this would inspire them to make a CS purchase (Out 41 responses 38 said NO and that this just gave them a free mount that they otherwise would have SPENT $$$MONEY$$$ on to get) Why do you think most F2P don't give away free perm mounts or if they do they are time limited? Because the smart ones know that if you give a SAMPLE it will entice those to possibly impulse buy for a perm. They are catering to the empty servers which is there fault for thinking they could ever go B2p & Sub2P. I make a living investing in stocks and this isn't growing ncsoft + its tanking it (Not this key giveaway) every decision they make is further tanking the brand. There is nothing wrong with trying to bring in new players but when you pull PR stunts that alienate those who were there for you on day one it just screams (Fire The Marketing Team), yes they are single character bound, but most people who buy mounts are collectors and when they find they cant obtain something a person that will most likely never spend $ on that just pisses people off FOR NO REASON. Old saying (The customer is always right) Treat EVERYONE LIKE GOLD AND this would have been a win. Matter of fact an easy fix could be (Sign up for the wildstar newsletter and make at least a $1 purchase and ANYONE can obtain it , not this first come first serve BS. If this all sounds like rage then fine but as an investor in a product I try to think that if you make all PAST & Future customers happy then the sky's the limit (unless you're betting down which incase you would relish in this PR stunt)
