See it isn't how many backers he has, heck he could have 2.000.000.00 but if he keeps going thru the money way he is there still wouldn't be a game. That is the point am making and he needs someone to tell him no and get back on track. Scary part is he thinks people are going to keep feeding him, one day he may actually be in for a big shock.

With things like UK tax breaks and pay structure, it's cheaper for CIG in the long run to have things developed in places they can get the best quality work for the lowest price. The objective is to save development costs, not be forced to have industry professionals relocated for the sake of being in one place.
This is why companies use voip so they can talk to one another, and not be in the same office. You would obviously choose the more expensive route paying to relocate quality employees for your company, right @Brenics?
If there's one caveat to come from crowdfunding, it's the amount of novices ( @jcrg99 who try and play forum investor, in my opinion. There's just too many things the average consumer doesn't know about the market, and development costs in general.

i understand what you're saying... what happens IF the money runs out and they have to run to a publisher to finish things and then the publisher says, well no... sorry you need to consolidate into one office and 50 employees and most of this needs to go, we need something we can polish and release ASAP and we're not funding you another 100 million....
that is a very possible scenario nobody knows what the future will hold and to think it's not a possibility is crazy... things could be perfectly peachy over there, but things could also not be peachy.

the big thing though, is whats the number #1 failure of businesses.... rapid expansion, none of these developers you speak of who are big names now started off as that, they all started as one studio companies and grew into their business.... rapid expansion of a new business is one of the easiest ways to kill said business... growing too big too fast with no sustainability, it's kind of admirable he's tried to shoot so high... but burning bright only lasts so long, eventually that flame dies out. This is probably even more so true in this case considering it's off backer money (which may not stay a steady revenue stream like it has been) and whats the alternative when that dries up.... release half finish product / submit to a publishers demands / cancel the game completely....
i don't know what the future holds... but there is uncertainty even if some of you don't want to see it.

Well as stated in other threads they've brought in another $2 million since Citizencon a few days ago. Seems to me money really isn't an issue for them right now. I'm not defending CR just because of who he is. I'd be defending pretty much any well regarded developer in his position, as there has been zero evidence that there are problems. Now you're assuming they aren't thinking ahead, what makes you think they aren't?
No employees that I'm aware of have any litigation started against CIG. The only thing we have evidence of is, anonymous people being mad about something they haven't tried to prove.
