Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade entered closed alpha just a few short weeks ago, and has been getting tons of updates weekly ever since. We caught up with Executive Producer Nathan Richardsson to chat about the game, and what's next.

Though there are fanbois in the game, like every game, nobody is crushing every opinion that it not positive. Here are day 1 initial impressions unfiltered, you can see mine in there too. Nobody negative opinion is being squashed in the general sense. I am a moderator on that forum (http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/members/gorilla.81/) and I can tell you I don't close threads or moderate threads because they have negative reviews of the game. in fact those are the one I leave open on purpose. If you feel that is untrue I invite you to speak to me on the forums and we can help you out. It is currently a shooter and was never marketed as an RPG. It is an open world shooter where there are big battles everywhere.
Oh, and fire that moron you guys brought in who basically says an open world can't be done, then proceeds to wave aside people who bring up games like Firefall, Planetside, and the like by saying those games don't meet his own personal definition of what 'open world' means. Can't remember his name, but he's an idiot.
Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to have to wait for the next Dawn of War game (if there ever is one) to get a decent 40K title? Ah well, at least Vermintide looks promising on the fantasy end of things.AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!
We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.
