When we think about the Middle Ages, we usually recall the heroic knights in full-plate armour and epic tournaments, majestic castles and frightening mountain fortresses, gruesome battles and dividing the spoils of war. However, we should also be reminded of the less glorious aspects of such an era: plagues, humans struggling against nature, witchcraft and the birth of alchemy.

    What is wrong with this game? like serious. Everyone should be jumping right on it and the hype should be high. But I dont see that. So what am I missing?

    I don't get hyped for games until they are ready to be released. That's just me.

    IIRC what people complain about the most is GW still being way too early in development (this is my, nice way to put it) with bad combat (this one is quite often) and general bugs, followed by the type of game it is (which is certainly not for everyone's taste) - this last one I reworded in the nice way, folks are often putting it much more, well, aggressively.

    You can find/read all the good things about GV here on MMORPG.com, but if you want the more neutral or bad ones I believe MMORPG reddit is better source, for example - https://www.reddit.com/r/MMORPG/search?q=gloria+victis&sort=new&restrict_sr=on

    Might be wrong. So many ganker paradise games in early access. If this is open world PvP loot, then it alienates a significant segment of gamers.

    I'm ok with that. The flood of PVE Themeparks released over the past decade also alienated a good portion of gamers.

    Im told its a ganker paradise and themepark style gameplay. That makes me a little bit hesitant...

    As someone who has access to the game I can say that I barely ever seen anyone playing. The most I've ever seen on my faction is 3 other people besides me. On the average I am by myself or I see one other person.. it's disappointing tbh and just got boring for me with no one around. Hopefully more people start to donate and play because it have lots of potential.

    there is patch with a wipe incoming. So many players are waiting for this patch after the wipe ther will be much more population.

    The various gank-heavy games, whether MMO or similar like H1Z1, don't appeal to most gamers. Sure, there are some people who will play, but it's definitely a niche game and won't appeal to most. The idea of a true medieval game is appealing, but I don't do open loot so I won't go near it.

    The game is still pretty early on. And thus not very impressive if you log in currently. I really think this has a great chance to appeal to those that aren't afraid of open PvP with some looting and those sick to death of no risk and no reward MMO's (most who are afraid haven't even tried a game like this...oddly).

    if the alignment system is better than the one dfuw will (hopefully) have by the time gv releases, its got my money :)
