iv played WoW, Gw, Runescape, and FFXI
i still play GW and Rs every once and a while
but i stoped Wow because of Grinding it got soo boring sitting there for hours killing things or minning
I quit FFXI because i didnt like having to party alot and it needed more things to do
im thinkiing of EQ2 but not sure

I don't think you know what grinding really is.
Go play something like Mu or L2 to find out.
The grinding in WoW is much less painless than in most MMOs out. Besides EVE.

grinding is playing for hours just killing for xp
and farming is the same except items and not xp
i also like to roleplay a little. but i dont like Wow's RP servers because of there strict rules

As I said. You dont' know what grinding really is.
Give EVE a shot. It's got alot of RP, it's a sandbox game. But you have to grind for money. There are no levels, it's totally skill based and your skills train on real time whether you are logged on or not.
Since it's a sandbox game, the game is really based off RP. The PVE blows, but the PVP is the best out of all MMOs imo. Wars are fought to control territory to make more money, wars are fought for RP Purposes as my corp is fighting to control a part of 0.0 space and give it back to the Amarr Empire, ridding it of pirates (players).

I said WoW has one of the least painful grinds there is. The real grinds are in games like Mu and L2.

I would recommend you to try EQ 2, i just reactivated my Account because of the totally new PVP Servers and i am really speechless how much this game changed to good......it is the best MMO imo

In L2's defense, once you spend all that time grinding, the politics/pvp/castle sieges at the end are the most fun I've had in any MMO.

Try DAOC or if you like fps try Planetside. L2 is a grind fest, nothing is worse then grinding and farming for you 3million adena armor and dropping it after getting pked lol.
EQ2 is nice, but leveling is even slower than WOW. I have played every MMO out there (COH,COV, WOW, EQII, L2,DAOC, PS, AC1-2, UO, AO the lsit goes on lol.) WOW is probably the fastest leveling system in all of these games with an exeption to DAOC. The new free lvl and task dungeons makes it so you can reach 50 in a few days if you have the time.

Im getting disappointed. I havent played an MMORPG in half a year. WoW was nice in the trial but just wasnt for me. EQ2 got a bit boring for me cause all I did was grind and every expansion was for a specific lvl group which made me grind even further to where everyone else was. SWG failed on me, I used ot love that game, the community, etc, though I never really liked the grinding aspect, the rest of the stuff made up for it. SOE screwed it every which way to sunday. They leveled the GCW to the ground, which was my favorite part of the game, then it takes them about 8 months to fix bugs and when its fixed I no longer need/want to complete the dam mission.
The FPS aspect of the NGE isnt what killed it, its the fact that they didnt even finish or really test it before it came out. I remember all the bugs with the NGE the day before it was released and they didnt even do the things they said they were gonna do. Like mines, they dont act like mines they jsut blow up when u drop them. Anyways I could go on but I hope LucasArts asks Perpetual (looking good on STo) or some other online MMORPG company to make another Star Wars MMO.Oh and the Jedi also messed it up.
Right now im counting on POtBS. And maybe Vanguard and Dark&Light, I was gonna try out Dungeons and Dragons but I heard it was like Guild Wars except u have to pay.
