Umm I love the game

Personally It has grabbed my which very few games do!!!! It's allot of fun to play. It's hard. there are many things to do. I don't like forced grouping but once you get a good group you can roll on and laugh with the nest of them.  AC2 game engine sucks??? Give me a break. I think the engine rock's and so does Turbine. So all of those out there whining that the game sucks need to go back to your little game where you can hack your character and be UBER LOOTZER and shut the H#LL up. The game is worth every penny.

Yeap... as long as you can justify paying again month after month...

Sadly I believe people that do stay... will be staying for the friends they made... not the game being anything special.

    What exactly are they?

I can only see grinding so far. Where do these mysterious "things" start?

So far there seems to be plenty of content - there's a couple minor story archs that I followed to get into Stormreach Port and then Stormreach. Now I'm doing missions within Stormreach and they are well written - good content, they do require some grouping.

Stormreach is massive - I'm sure that it's smaller then EQ2 cities but its big. Seems to be plenty to do, I'm looking forward to more play later today. After 3-4 hours of play I'm about 1/2 way to level 2.

The traps and puzzles are the highlight so far - no mmo has achieved what DDO has in this regard.

Actually EQ2 has puzzels etc in the adventure pack areas.. really fun :D

I was thinking about trying this game.. but so far i've heard more bad thing than good things which kinda scares me away from it.. I've played, DAoC 2 years, swg 2 years, WoW 6 months, EQ2 2 months (only one that isn't cancelled and i'm having a very good time)

I like those kinds of mmorpgs, you think i would like this game?

I've played all the games you mentioned except WoW - the graphics scared me away from WoW. I think there's a good chance you'd like DDO. I have the eq2 updates and expansion too and from what I've seen of both games, DDO's puzzles and such are much more involved.

I've gave up on SOE actually, not just EQ2. I really don't intend to play SOE games again if I can avoid it.

It's not like you need groups of 6 to do all the quests anyways. My friend and I have duo'd all of the quests in the harbor and marketplace, excluding shan-to-kor, with is more fun with a full party anyways. We have ONLY done quests our level or less and have only repeated 3 or 4 quests total. We have both reached level 4.

The game is light on content, no denying that, but they have a solid base in place and if they release monthly content updates as promised will have more than enough to keep me happy. I don't care if they implement crafting and I hope they don't include direct PVP as it doesn't fit in this game. (ESPECIALLY the WoW Carebear PVP).

Lots of people like it and lot's don't. The servers are packed right now and finding groups is easy if you're not a complete moron and actually use the tools they provide.
