Class group question.

in Star Wars: The Old Republic
So I have been taking advantage of the 12 times xp and leveling through all of the story lines.  Can someone let me know what classes are the best at max level  for the following roles:

Healing
Tank
DPS (ranged)
DPS (Melee)

Empire or Republic or for both.

    Only speaking from personal experience. 

    Sage best with heals.  Tank,  sith jug, or jedi knight tank.  Tank range BH power tech is pretty fun.

    DPS range, love the sniper.   DPS melee,  I heard its sith marauder

    Haven't played the game for months, but SW:TOR has the usual nerf / buff cycles, so your choice won't really matter in the end. Different healers and tanks are also designed to be better given certain circumstances.

    For example:
    Vanguard / Powertech tanks usually have the highest passive mitigation
    Jedi Knights / Sith Juggs have the best defensive cooldowns
    Shadows / Assassins are the most flexible and active tanks and have great threat generation

    The most consistently powerful class in PvP has been the assassin however, in my opinion. They can tank, dps and stealth. But again you will have the FOTM changing regularly.

    Classes are the same on both sides, only the visual style is different. Go with the story and style that interests you most.

    When I played I actually based my choices on which had the best story lines.  But I suppose it depends on what you're mostly interested in doing.
