I played the korean version , in the start the combat is really good . But then it just drags on the same way . Its just another generic mmo with a bit of interesting combat , but not really

Now if they can add some interesting PvE we might have a great game here.

I agree with your assessment on BnS, problem is the beginning of the game drags on far to much for me to want to push thru to the end. If I could just grind mobs to max level, that would be fantastic. But what I'm more interested in is that you had Steve Blum announce your name at the intro...
    That I did :-)

Have to say I like the fact that I can create a super sexy totally unrealistic woman that kicks ass, but to each their own. -Combat is probably the most engaging of any mmo. -Story? meh, want story? Play a single player RPG like Witcher. - PvP was awesome..but probably not for the casual player as like you said it's difficult, challenging and a long road to gain enough proficiency to play at a high lvl. -Raids seemed too easy to me and may be where more casual play is fun. I found going into a 6 man dungeon with only 4 being a little more challenging. I hope they add more challenging mechanics. I didn't get to the end-game dungeons though, so those may be better. - played every class up to around lvl 10 and got 2 of those to around 30. I'll have to say they seem to have done a good job in assigning the difficulty of the classes. My summoner almost never died when attempting to solo difficult content where as my assassin was struggling as the combo properties and timing were much more challenging. All in all I had a lot of fun and hope the game does well but not sure the game will attract a large casual crowd. Unless they just want to look at those super huge unrealistically jiggling boobs ;)

Any chance we can get a new MMO where we get to shoot things. I'm tired of fantasy.

I actually have no problem with it :-) Even my wife prefers to be able to create a super sexy totally unrealistic woman that kicks ass... I just like making fun of the absurdity :-)

Through various tests and attempts to play this game I've found that I really can't stand the way movement and combat works, it feels a little too stiff and rigid to me, it -looks- great but the actual control you have while moving and attacking is really not that amazing. The camera also bugs me, it feels off and everything snaps into motion for some reason rather than easing into it.

It's not bad, mind you. But it certainly isn't a game for me. I never got past level 10 before I got tired of how painfully generic the questing was along with the combat not being what I was hoping for based on video overviews.

EDIT: Let me add linebreaks darnit.

The extended beta period on a 4 year old game is pretty disgraceful, they are just milking money from players who are impatient. There is no reason this game needs to be beta at all, it's OLD and they are doing nothing any different to it. I'll try it again when the beta is free access.

I still feel like they are making a mistake by releasing a very early version of the game. B&S has seen a lot of changes since it was originally released. Some were even region specific changes. One of the big ones for me was lowering the level that the PvP Quest became available. Not sure if it was in other versions outside of China's. But in first village you came to, the PvP NPCs were there. Plus they removed a lot of the side quest. Which sped up leveling, even with the stamina system they had. Also they should have tried to at the very least release the version that saw the release of Warlock class. As that also had some good quality of life improvements. I just have a very bad feeling that it will be too little too late for B&S.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.
