RFO is fun for those that don't mind grinding/farming (PT's)
It is also fun for people who want lots of PVP and the primary focus of everything you do to be for PVP and to be able to PVP anytime you want since you can PVP in any zone except starter zones It doesn't take much wandering to find enemies.
people that do not like this should not play.
WoW is good for casual players, MMO newbies and people who like to goof off.
RFO PVP > WoW PVP because frankly waiting in "line" just to enter a battlefield because it is already "capped out" is a pretty retarded concept.
Also the PVP faction unity in RFO is far superior to WoW ... to often in WoW I would see a clan of the other faction attack somewhere all the while simple being ignored by 80% of the players in the faction being attacked ... whats up with that, there arent even any real penalties to death, get involved people. When other factions attack somewhere in RFO, from my experience I see most every ally in the area swarm over to assist the best they can..
Originally posted by tiabs you can technically go when ever you want, but your much better off working up your skills w/ pve until about lvl 25. It only takes a few days and helps you get a hang of the controls and the skill system. That will prove vital when you actually take place in the chip wars. so to answer your question it is really not balanced to lower levels because you need to use the lower levels to build your charactor up to be competetive, or useful. in addition pot spamming is absoultly necessary but you need to be using your skills while you are doing it, and also the battles are not turn based so you need to be constantly attacking, this is scary to wow players because they cannot chug pepsi and eat doughnuts while battling
You clearly never have played wow, so why are you saying that? WoW is not a click and watch game, you got tons of skills and g2 use them carefully to dont die, If what ive heard RFO Is a click and watch game...

Sorry, you just lost all credibility by putting 'EQ2' and 'PvP' in the same sentence.
MMO history:
EQ1 - 65 DE Wizard
DAoC - 50 Dwarf Thane, 50 Dwarf Healer
EvE - Amarr, Caldari BShip Pilot
CoH - 40 Ice/Ice Blaster, 40 Dark/Regen Scrapper
WoW - 60 Undead Priest, 60 Tauren Warrior
LoTRO - 30 Hobbit Burglar
Currently Playing - Tabula Rasa

I played Beta and loved it! However, Beta was free. It now costs $50.00.
Will I go out and buy the game, I sure will. I might what you call a risk taker.
Even despite the reviews and what people are saying, you wont know if you
like it until you start playing it yourself.
Like one poster said, your either going to hate it or love it, there is no in-between.
Even if your still having doubts about the game and still interested in playing it, I
suggest waiting till the price comes down slightly, cause another $50.00 can be murder
to some with a $15.00? a month subscription.
And I come from a AO, EQ, SWG, and WoW background. Currently playing Eve Online
and Dark Age of Camelot.
