Gmail, does not work.

in Final Fantasy XIV
Just wanted to let any one who was trying to make a free trail account with gmail, know that it does not work. I tried 2 different accounts, and there is still no email there, even after 18+ hours. I used a yahoo email, and it was instant.

    I dono, if it does work with paid accounts. I assume maybe it does with steam, or at least I would hope so, or there would be a lot of refunds buying it on steam.

    So, I have similar problems with Gmail from time to time. What I've noticed is that if I don't select the "All" category in my mail folders, I'm generally missing out on alot of emails Gmail flags as "spam" which aren't actually spam at all. This typically applies to emails from some game studios or companies, but not all (definitely happens in regards to the emails I get for LOTRO).

    Yes the 'all' is important .Lot of mail is there not in spam or elsewhere they just do not appear when you use Gmail until you select 'all mail'.

    That's weird. Last month I wanted to make my friend an account and his Yahoo mail didn't work so we had to use Gmail.

    hahah, that is interesting. I dono what the deal with their email verification thing is then. I guess the moral of the story is, to make sure you have multi email accounts, if you want to join the free trial at FFXIV.

    I will check, but I am pretty sure I checked all of them. Nope not in all mail, spam mail, advertisements, social, or general mail. I suppose it is possible i blocked it some how, not knowing i did, but it would be weird i did it on 2 separate accounts.

    Created a Square Enix account, bought the game, added an authenticator to it and subbed yesterday, all with Gmail. 

    Seems okay :)

    Might just be trying to use the games launcher to make a trial account. I haven't re checked it though.
