Relic Question

in Final Fantasy XIV
So I am on the Nexus stage of the relic. Do we need to finish it to do the new Relics coming soon?

    Was said before that if you finish it the requirements will be easier then if you don't. If you have a nice weapon to use now and you're busy doing other things don't finish it. If you free to finish it go for it.

    relics wont be coming for at least 1-2 months anyway, since they have been delayed to 3.15. But as was stated before, having relics up to a certain point only makes getting the newer relics slightly easier, you wont need them if you want relics for other classes, just might take longer to get them. Also, it will only make getting the relic in that class easier (I'm pretty sure that's how it will work anyway) not other relics for other classes. So getting a relic great axe will make it easier for the new relic warrior weapon, but not for some other class, like paladin.
