Sounds like a great system. I'm not to fond of the PoV and combat, but Albion is definitely going to fill a lot of voids. Looking forward to playing.

There is a very fine line to be crossed when adding in automated game play.I normally can't stand automation,i play games because i want to play it,i don't want the computer code playing my game for me.

However i feel they have done a pretty good job of maintaining order and not fully crossing that line,so imo good job.

I just hope this doesn't morph into something you can buy with real cash (Gold). Otherwise it sounds pretty interesting.

After a long hard day of back breaking work I like to log into Albion and start doing it all over again. /sarcasm Seriously though, who would want to play a game like this? I guess the kotor-esque system will help a little.

Sounds like garrisons and annoying micro management. No thanks.

Sounds completely stupid in my mind.  I really doubt this will ever be a viable game.

I just hope they dont't make those tasks too easy for us, like doubling our solo speed. a 10-20% increase over what we would have done by ourselfs would be under my expectations; I don't like when games have (even) the "possibility" of doing something easier than other (given that is not a personal creative way through the sandbox faculties).

How many people like to play The Sims, Farmville, Clash of Clans or MOBA's? How anyone can say they can't see how this is viable is beyond me. An open world sandbox that while full loot is possible there are safe zones for people who are interested in trade and so on and also it's fully cross platform, can be played on PC, Mac, Linux and tablets.

As a player who was in two alphas before I have to say, why the hell they do this? They advertised this as sandbox MMO with no alts = one character. This is just adding a quest like NPC, yet another one - after faction missions. This is not a tool this is a quest that is just hidden as a book. Albion has some issues that developers should be addressing yet they are not doing so. Don't get me wrong, I can't find another game like Albion, but already there is the fact that you will be allowed to have 3 characters on your account, people with alts ruined every alpha - guild crafter so they get ahead of everybody else (against rules), spies (against rules), since you should have only one account + one character. I thought that is the most amazing thing I've heard about in MMO ever - one character - one life - one reputation, yet they go back on it. I still will be in closed beta and I'm very much looking forward to it, yet I still feel like these developers have no clear vision for theirs game as in one alpha they added almost everything that players wanted. Not a bad thing, players had some good ideas, but if a developer has no vision it might turn south quickly, like with NPCs or that "one character" not being true anymore. Sandbox is about adding tools that allow players to interact with the world, this is not a sandbox feature. Hope closed beta won't bring more non-sandbox things like this.

Played: Lineage 2,Guild Wars 1 and 2, Age of Conan, Ragnarok Online, LOTRO, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, EvE online
Tried: KAL Online, Face of Mankind, ROSE online

After reading some of the comments i can safely confirm that 90% of ppl posting here dont understand how this system works or even if they even watched video. For example here is one of the comments: Sounds more like a chore then anything else... keeping them happy and ext. Might aswell go out youself and get he materials... Does that guy even realize that in order to send them to gather materials you need to get those materials yourself first to fill up item that they you need to send them off each time? Even better does he realize that they will gather only 10-20% of what you gather?

That is the whole point,it should feel realistic as it would in a real living world. If you had someone working for you he would need to be paid or possibly fed etc etc,he wouldn't be a mindless robot. Also as in real life you can choose to do something yourself or pay someone else to do it,i see this as a well done idea, one that makes sense.

Same here, I was about to take this off my list. After watching the video though, it looks like the 2 people that are talking about the system, actually have played a video game before lol.
