*2 PVE pick a mage pet class. PVP you wont be soloing for long, or you might want to go with a dps class and gank newbs... But seriously this is not a solo PvP game.
Hard to say a best class. I feel that SOE has done a great job in creating vastly different rules for all the classes. But I have to agree with the guy abouve me and go for a pet class. Or a scout.
If you hate grouping with others why play a mmorpg? I mean its really the whole point to get to know ppl from all over the world. But I CAN understand you hating it comming from WoW. You will quickly realise a much more helpful and mature community in EQ2...more so on thePvE servers. The PvP servers seems to attract alot of "kiddys" or atleast turns people into them in ways.

I don't mind grouping, but I hate HATE rolling on items. Do I have to do an dungeon instance for like 5 hours to lose a roll to someone else? I hated that.

Well, I would really not support the fact that you would HAVE to group in a MMORPG, it's all about choises.
Going around alone should at least be 90% as eaning as being grouped to someone.
I can hardly say I play MMORPG's for being with the players, I personaly like the roleplaying, since what is roleplaying without real people? And as thread starter said the WoW system is totally weird sitting hours for nothing...

#2 What is the best race/class for solo PVE & solo PVP? I hate grouping with other people.
Then you probably dont like MMORPGs. I dont get how people play a Massivly MULTIPLAYER Online Role Playing Game, and hate to interact with other people.

It's not like 40 man raids at the end to get good items :P Most of it you can buy anyways and alot of the game is small group stuff or scaled down to how big your group is!
To me items don't matter as much, levels matter more in PVP.
i gotta agree that grouping is shit. i've always hated it and wherever i can i try to solo play. grouping in MMO's is NOT what MMORPGS are about, atall. look at UO, the best MMORPG ever created, that didnt even have a group system implemented until it was around for like 3 years!!!! and it was far better before it was even implemented!
i play MMO's because i want to a) kill other people, and b) show off my new armour/weapon that i worked hard to get and generally look better than other people.
the kinda people that enjoy the 'social' aspect of MMORPGS are imo the kind of people that enjoy using chat rooms..... i personally cant stand chat rooms, and find making friends/being social in a MMORPG environment a real challenge, purely because i cant really be bothered.
Wow Hohbein, that has to be one of the most immature responses I've read in a long time. You play MMOs just to kill other players and show off how cool you are? Are you 13 years old or something? Yikes...
