I chose BnS honestly because I have played it. I have yet to play BDO. I like Blade and Soul well enough so when it releases I will play it.
I'm opposite of you. Happy opposite day! I've played Black Desert and have yet to play Blade and Soul but due to BnS price tag I'm more likely to play that.
Buried under rocks. Hidden under leaves. Halfgrimm the whole time.
I've voted black desert. Though I've played Blade and Soul and do like it, it seems like it's a non stop "questing" game whereas the info for Blade and Soul is that it's more grindy, which I prefer. Also, Black Desert has sieges (not sure how they are implemented) and that is my favorite type of pvp.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
When its 100% that BDO will have a 100 floor dungeon (Supposedly the 100 floor dungeon is coming at some point), and raids will be added. Then count me in for BDO. And if the megaserver hasnt have many instance so it is croud ingame!
BnS: 1v1 thats fun but I rather have group PvP and PvE. And im not sure if BnS is the right game for me if im not a huge fan of 1v1.
BnS seems a lot like TERA. I liked TERA a lot, but BDO seems newer. I'm looking forward to the crafting/horsebreeding/farming stuff in BDO as well as the seige PVP.
If BDO wasn't coming I would probably be looking forward to BnS though.
I'm going with B&S simply because I know what I'm getting with B&S.
Black Desert started out as a hardcore open world PvP game that turned into a casual PvE game in beta. When games make drastic changes near the end of development it's almost never a good sign. I'm probably going to try it but my expectations for BD are very low.
Because some ppl prob haven't decided yet. Both games are in alpha in the west and not everyone has access to them or the the will to play a game in a language they don't understand(i.e. russian, chinese etc.) Or, maybe aren't interested in either. I'm probably one of those ppl. I'd might give a try on BDO but after i heard it's gonna be B2P i think i'll skip it. Not because i'm a cheap ass who doesn't want to pay for anything(on the contrary). It's just that as a game in terms of concept, theme etc. doesn't do it for me to pay a box price just to try it.

If he posted the poll at around the same time he bumped it tonight I think the low turnout has far more to do with most of the non-europeans being in bed.
B&S has been out for a while now and looking dated, don't think it has much of a future. BDO has a more of a sandbox world with more options and professions. BDO for the future.

Blade and Soul because I think it's closer to being released. It's better to get hyped on games in the order I'll be able to play them.
BnS in february or early 2016? BDO Q1 2016
I'm just making a guess based on Blade and Soul selling founder's packs that give "access to all Closed Beta tests this fall". If they can stick to the schedule of holding all closed beta tests this fall, they could release very early 2016.
Black desert is nothing more than a very good looking tech demo. That game has no content aside from the usual mindless grind you see in most Korean games. That won't go over very well in the west. B&S even though it is late to the party, has 3 years of content already to keep people busy for awhile. Nothing else is due out in the same time frame and everything else is pretty much tired and played out at this point.

Both games have very litte interest in them from gamers outside of hardcore mmo players.
Here is the problem with that, NCsoft are known to be brutal to games that don't perfom well enough. First p2w and then closure, as such I'll be pushing more towards BD.
As a plus BD doesn't have a feminist in charge of it ruining the game to fit her ideals of what an mmo based at men should be.

Yeah, I'm real worried NCsoft is going to cancel Blade and Soul in the West before L2 or Aion. Have you played L2 or Aion recently? Games aren't exactly hopping. It's Western games NCsoft likes to get rid of not their Asian games. Blade and Soul will be here long after Wildstar has been sent to the chopping block.
Blade and Soul is doing terrific in Korea, and its PvP is supposedly amazing, deep and tactical. It seems to meet a unique foundation between a fighting game and a MOBA, in its 1 vs 1 e-sport duels:
I wonder if the fighting game / MOBA community might be interested in the game for this reason. It is also the most promising Martial Arts MMORPG we have seen. And nothing has been announced which seems more promising in this theme. For people who are sick of sci-fi and fantasy, this could be a big deal.
Black Desert has completely tanked in Korea, and cynical people claim that the B2P is a last cash grab before the game falls on its head because the devs know it cannot be salvaged. I am not that cynical though. BDOs problem is difficult content and harsh enemies. You could fill the game with difficult open world bosses, and a new A.I and the game would be challenging and fun.
Nobody says the game needs instanced raids or dungeons. The problem right now is that there barely is a game outside of pvp. Its quests are as lame as Blade and Soul and it has that beautiful, but ultimately dead world. it's a beautiful randomly generated world, and you certainly feel it is randomly generated. Big zones, but empty and dead, populated by terrible mindless mobs.

Only time will tell though and for now, it's mostly speculation.

BDO has better long term potential while BnS is like snack food.

BDO Q1 2016
Compared to Black Desert having to delay their russian P2P server launch till spring 2016:

Let me rephrase: "I am still far from getting my Christmas gifts!!" (my perception of 'far' might differ from yours ^^)
So yes, something between early January and late March

Guild politics and many guild versus guild wars combined with sieges makes for great conflict and drama.
