Black Desert is USA+Canada only, no latin america (I guess Mexico can play it)

What do you think about it?

1. DEFINITIONS
“Territory” means in the United States of America, Mexico, Canada and all European countries, except Turkey and Russia.
 
3. TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS
 
The Game is licensed by Daum Games Europe only for the Territory. The User may create an Account, access the Website and the Forums from anywhere in the world. However, the User may only access the Shop and the Game from the Territory. In the event the User acquired the Game from the Territory and then relocated outside of the Territory, the User will no longer be able to access the Game.

    B2P was enough to keep the shitty player from Brazil  out. Beeing from Brazil, the most stupid Hues stay away from B2P games. I really liked the game, it's not the greatest MMO ever, so i'm kind of fine with it.

    I think it's time for a South American game publisher to step up to the plate and buy the rights to the game, just like Gamenet has done for russia.

    Why does it even matter, it's a game that you can solo from start to finish. It's not like you need friend X from country Y to be with you. You don't need friends in Black Desert.

    Is this legal.  Amazing.  No you do not have the right to play computer games in every country in the world, only if a publisher decides so.

    Sorry for the harsh response but I'm having an entitlement, misplaced rights activist freak out moment.

    When someone saids "Dude is this legit" often it means. "IS this for real". I can pretty much bet he meant, was this verified to be actually true. And side from the TOS. We've had no official statement from Daum. But it does seem quite certain at this point

    You've most likely been gaming happily along side AUS/NZ gamers for years in other NA titles. It's not commonplace to have an IP block for these two regions to NA. However this company seems to be run from the EU. Is there even an NA office?

    I'm used to doing business with American companies that actually consider their gamers down here in Oceania and don't block us. But this doesn't surprise me too much

    Just had that horrible sinking feeling :(  Wish I could give a huge finger to the people who made that decision.

    I'm actually glad about this. No disrespect to South American and Oceanic brethren but I'm really tired of "unofficial BR/Oceanic servers", language barriers, and "what about my 300 ping?" on NA games. I think they deserve their own servers. It's time.
