I have been waiting to try this game for a while and was looking forward to trying the 'Fodder' thing but apparently it isn't coming out for a bit. If you use a buddy key are you limited to rank 6 or what ever?

This is going to sound really retarded but could someone explain how they got onto the 10 day free trial? I clicked on the link on the Planetside homepage, but I keep getting the "You currently do not have an active paying subscription for PlanetSide(tm)" message. It then expects me to use a key to activate the account, which I don't have.
Or if someone could send a buddy key to iskatethereat4am@hotmail.co.uk I would be happy
If you have had a sub before, just log in. If you log in before I think Feb 28 you get a free month. I am doing that right now, can't beat a free month. They do not ask you to resub or anyhtign like that, it jsut lets you log in for a month for free.
The ten day trial link is for the buddy key system, its not an actual trial. If you had a planetside account ever, even a trial one, you can get a free month by logging into planetside, like dakron said.
If you have a planetside account and your logged into the website, when you click that link it gives you a buddy key to give to someone else.
If that is the case the website should make it clear, the way I interpret it is that its a free trial for 10 days for anyone.
It doesnt say anything about returning players anywhere noticeable.
Either they want people to get into this game and play or they want it to die off. What happened to the FREE trial or "Fodder Program" that was supposed to roll out sometime now ?

Havn't played the game since just before the expansion hit and would love to get back in and see what alll has really changed since the good ole days. Maybe try to build up a new stealth hacker to infiltrate all over again.

What I dont understand is why on the front page of the site they advertise "FREE 10 DAY TRIAL!" and when you click on it it says you dont have a paid subscription (of COURSE I dont that's why I clicked "Free trial" Sheesh) without explaining you need another user to share their trial cd key with you. SOE, I tell ya...

The 10 day trial is broken, it doesnt let you download or sign up, and is asking you for a key because you dont have a paying subscription.
Since when did you need a paying subscription to download a trial version of a game.
Why do Sony make it so hard for new users to get access to their games online?
