You can overclock that, and get at least a 7970 out of it. Which will double your fps for around 100 bucks.
or if you have 80 more, this one would get alittle better fps than a 7970, and would be new.

If you have 320 the 390 is slightly better than a 970, but it depends on the game. The 970 is better for ARK, but the 390 would be better for skyim with 4k mods.

Increasing price corresponds to increasing performance there. But price increases a lot faster than performance, and the fastest card there is only perhaps 50% or 60% faster than the slowest, in spite of costing nearly three times as much.

If you don't already have an SSD, I'd get one. It won't fix the problems with running out of video memory, but it will make your computer much more responsive. You can get 240 GB for $80 these days, so if you've got the money to spend hundreds on a new video card, you've got the money for an SSD. If you've already got a nice SSD, then keep it and there's no need for another unless you want more capacity or the old one fails.
