Overwatch fans who have been waiting for a beta invite may soon get their wish with this weekend's invite-only beta event. As said on the notice, "a lot more players from our Americas and Europe gameplay regions" will be added to the test that runs through Monday, November 23rd.

    Weekend beta "events" really suck, to be completely frank. Either invite a new wave of full-time testers, or don't. Inviting people to "test" over the course of a single weekend is just absurd.

    That's how stress tests have always been done. They invite a bunch extra to try and crash the servers for a few days. Probably don't want too many full time beta testers because then it's harder to manage the feedback.

    They dont want many full time testers, because there isnt much to test. Its an arcade shooter with few maps. Last thing they need is people getting bored in beta before they pay for it.

     Weekend stress testing makes perfect sense in this case. Server stability and latency is one of the few things that can go wrong in this game. Its not like you will find any bugged quest here.

    LOL another set of "beta events" where only paid streamers and gamers on Twitch with tits get in. The botched release will be hilarious.

    Its a server stress test. Its a very common and important aspect of beta testing.

    Perhaps you should read up on what a beta test is first beforehand.

    I wish there was a way for all of us non-beta fans to team up and boycot this stress test by simply not entering the game at all. However, chances of this actually happening are slim (some people must be too eager to get their hands on the game). Wishful thinking I guess. As it currently stands, I will not make use of this to get a feel for the game. I don't want to tease myself with a product I'm not actually able to play whenever I want. Self preservation so to speak.

    i never said that it would.. i just think that they should.. and i know exactly what i paid for.
