Archeage - If you are smart enough it feels like you can do anything you want in this game
Has pvp so no.
I switch between ffxi and EQ2 they are the two games that do that type of design the best.
However i wouldn't mind a touch of FFXIV and Archeage in my games but not going to happen.
MY hope is that Elyria turns out to be the game we are imagining it might be.How that game actually pulls off it's design is going to be the key factor and it won't be easy. You see any game can look good on paper making it actually perform well is the trick.
I would be happy to just see another vanilla FFXI but done better with added features like housing, graphics and water zones.Simple reason is that we already have a pethora of those questing on rail games we don't have even one other FFXI type design so the industry needs that added choice.

I do have a recurring subscription in WoW as well however i haven't logged in for 5 months or so. A month before Legion comes i will become semi active in order to prep my characters for the expansion.
I only play GW2 right now. ESO's updates/DLC are looking decent so I might go back to that at some point. Controller support on PC is a big pull for me. I tried the PS4 version but ended up missing the mods I used on PC too much.
I really want WoW to go BTP... I put money into GW2 as I play but I prefer to do so at my own pace.
In about 14 hours I'll only be playing Fallout 4 for the time being.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
Many mmos have been home for me, like world of warcraft and tera for example. Currently I don't play any mmo actively. My hope is for Blade and Soul atm. This summer i played actively Skyforge and tbh it was good run, altho i felt like it should end recently. Started Guild Wars 2 when it became f2p, but i'm not sure if it can hook me enough to buy the expansion that's why i stopped and just focus on my main goal atm which is BnS.
Looking at the posts its what you would expect. The three main non WoW theme parks with some EVE users. DDO is probably my main because my friends love it. If ESO had a sandbox continent(landmass) it would be my main.
MMORPG players are often like Hobbits: They don't like Adventures
My last one was FFXIV, I left the game more than a year ago. Coming from 1.0 and a legacy player, the game was a total chore(even worse than 1.0, imo); grinding for tomes weekly and doing dailies, while waiting for tuesday's reset for 2nd coil. Apart from that, it was rushing around farming NM for that extra gear and weapon upgrade, I couldn't remember for the life of me what it was... all I knew was that it was extremely tedious.
Only redeeming factor(s) in FFXIV was the music. God I LOVED the music, and also all the buddies that I missed hanging out and adventuring with.
ESO feels the most like "home," now since the Orsinium DLC. I love it!
Definitely not intersted in SWTOR with the companion nerf in the last patch. That was never an mmorpg to me. It was a single player game with the option to group for pvp and dungeons. In that capacity it was fun. But having to grind through their sh*tty quests slowly and laboriously is no fun and I won't pay for that.

The Wizards Chronicles. Originally HP themed but the gameplay drifts from the idea (good thing). Small download. Small playerbase - everyone knows everyone. Great community with some dramatic history (there's even a wiki!).
Learned spells from classes and quests, collect items, create magical ones, enhance your stats and, most importantly, test your skills in duels.
Trade in gold, participate in clan wars (Deatheaters vs Aurors) - work your way through the playerbase to become the Head of Aurors or the Dark Lord.
Admin/staff run game as Professors and Headmasters. Very fun for a voluntary staffbase with small/no budget.

It might be Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, from 2017 on (assuming they keep their schedule).

I hate WoW and what it has done to the MMO genre.
