That my friends is creative writing at it´s finest....
Sounds a lot like something i used to come up with back in school for our rpg campaigns.
This have been a good conversation
Not really a very unique idea but it will be ok and many players will like playing the pet classes.
I would be more interested to see if there is any depth within this design beyond just simply casting a flock of crows spell or using a dead corpse to fight for you.

I'm still excited about CU but IMO even without PvE in the game, i believe that them having to build their own engine really set them back a bit. They've gotta be at the very least 6 months away from anything that even resembles a actual game.
Love the dev team though i just think that MJ is letting things get a bit too crazy with the classes/races list.
CU still in Alpha or beta 1?
@bcbully All beta 1 backers have access to C.U.B.E. and part of alpha test sessions, but beta 1 should start Jan-March 2016 ("this winter").

As for EA controlling the purse strings: MJ is an 'ideas man'. I like a lot of his ideas... I like a lot of ideas from a lot of people. But the reality is that those ideas cost money (and time) to become a reality. Many ideas don't work as imagined either.
So, somewhere along the line you need someone to reign in the ideas man with a bit of realism.
If you don't have that - you get what appears to be happening with Chris Roberts and Star Citizen. Endless project creep and a delivery date that is getting further away rather than closer.
I'm not saying EA was right (I hate half baked game releases as much as anyone) but MJ wasn't right either. Given another 12 months of development WAR could have been better - then again given another 12 months how many more 'planned features' would have been promised and diverted developer resources?
Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.

I see where this following is coming from DAOC and Warhammer, both games imo not very good at all.
Seems people liked DAOC for pvp,i can't stand pvp in a rpg and Warhammer was just more the same.Warhammer was so bad i felt like logging out in the first 10 minutes.Only thing i found good about Warhammer was the sound effects.
So having seen this guys direction for game development,it is very shallow to aim for pvp and not something i could be interested in.

2 years later it was still a broken game , borken classes broken crafting , broken sieges ..
so all the prodding in the world for nearly 6 total years .. and he still failed ....
EA was pretty generous tbo , and gave him plenty of time ..
plenty of oppurtunity
plenty of support team
plenty of money
He delivered plenty of mess...
