I heard all the dungeons are practically the same.

I've heard this complaint or similar from some of the posters here on the forum.  What I would like to know, obviously from someone who has or is playing the game, is whether or not this is true.  Since the game is built entirely around the idea of instanced indoor dungeons, is there variety in appearance and design to these dungeons?

Are they all the same layout?  Do they all have the same textures?  Are the creatures overly repetitive?

I haven't seen any dungeon with the exact same layout. However, most of them do share the same textures, but... a cave is a cave - how many different textures do you need? And a sewer is a sewer, don't need much variation in textures.

Out of everything of the game, I thought the hand-crafted dungeons were the best factor. However, there just weren't enough for me and the dungeon is the same thing every time you enter it. The traps are always in the same spot, the enemies always in the same spot, the treasure chests always in the same spot, etc. If they added some randomness, then it would be okay.

It's pretty much true. In the early stages of the game, you'll do a quest called Kobold assault. Once you get to Marketplace, there's a quest near the Facloner's Spire with a different name, but it's the exact same area. Not only that, it's basically the exact same quest except instead of kobolds charging at you, it's...I wanna say trogs, but I don't quite remember.

As for the "dungeons"...no two are exactly alike, but for purposes of gameplay they really might as well be. They all "look" the same for the most part, the only real difference is the map.

There are dungeon themes... ie. Sewers, Warehouses, temples, crypts, caves and so on... so if you're going from one sewer to another sewer they are going to look a little bit alike. The twists and turns that the dungeons take seem to be unique to each dungeon however.  And speaking as a rogue, traps are widely different (spikes, noxious gas, swinging blades, ambushes).

There's quite a bit of underwater stuff in this game, so if 3D movement isn't your bag expect to see your corpse bobbing a fair amount.

Thats your opinion, but an incorrect one by my estimation.

    This is false.

I just did both of those quests are they are wildly different. The trees and grass textures are the same but the rest is very different. Only other similarity is that they both require you to go to a far away outpost in the jungle.

... This is true of EVERY game.

Yes, dungeons from the same tilest have the same textures and props.
