Sounds like a great niche game to pick up later on down the road. I wouldn't say this is as niche as duck feet, but it's definitely on the level of an imported set of mince pies or a british Christmas cake for a US consumer.

The last Xenoblade game I played in WII and it was excellent I'd rate it at a 10/10.  The only flaw is Nintendo only game.
Are you onto something or just on something?

That's my main gripe with the game really. Terrible UI design. /sigh

I didn't really like the combat in the first one...the AI was kind of stupid depending on who you were using for allies. My roommate has a Wii U and I want to try it out but I'm definitely not going to pay full price.

Nice write up but i am not at all a console person, i am like one of those backdated people who believe console is "dumbing us down" so to speak. Well i am not going to buy WiiU to play this game, shame really, after reading it seems like quite the game for rpg lovers.

Hmm,well it does sound interesting,i have to wonder WHY all of a sudden so long after to mention this game?
I notice this Producer was a Square Enix FF guy as well,so likely why it looks decent and sort of like a FF game.

Too bad being a DS or Wii game means VERY few will play it and i definitely cannot even try it out.

At least they took the time to make one as all over the place as it is, so many games forgo the UI these days and when they do they phone in some flat looking scaleform crap.

Does it play well with the classic controller? Or is the Wii U slab your best bet? Also, any motion controls / aiming?

Wii U exclusive = dead in the water game.

Fantastic game. There hasn't been much to like on the WII U but finally a game worth playing. Strongly recommend to anyone thinking of playing; read the manual on the disk... I'm playing it with the Pro Controller which I much prefer to the "slab."
