Holy crap does the trolls love Trion much? So much flaming. Guess they forever will regret of beeing a part of AA since many ppl only recognise them for that game. Think their other games isnt that bad and have pretty decent f2p models.
Rift? You mean the game that if I'm willing to spend money I can buy raid gear. Yup, that sounds like a great f2p model to me.
All their other game blow minus Trove. Trove isn't my cup of tea so I won't comment on that but everything else pretty much sucks. Which is saying alot coming from someone that once paid for over a year in advance for Rift. It is literally a good game turned into shit by a money heavy f2p system.
Make it clear, yes can buy raid gear in rift but is not the top raid gear that everyone is raiding for.

I'm a lurker not a troll and I will never give Trion another dime.
I played Rift several years ago and yes you couldn't (back then) purchase the top tier raid gear but I was seeing newbies purchase gear and jump into raids they had no business being in but the guild I was in purged those people pretty quickly thankfully.
I left Rift after it was clear Trion doesn't deal with cheaters. There was a group who found a way to purchase items from a vendor you had to complete a bunch of requirements to get to and used them to make a killing on new crafting items. It was very clear who was cheating when stacks of this item would appear in the auction house and non of them were banned. Trion fixed the exploit and did nothing to the players who were obviously exploiting. They were transferring servers to exploit cross server too. I heard them in voice comms... they even said themselves they expected to be banned.
Later on when Archeage Alpha launched I decided to give Trion another go and had a blast until Beta. I did play at launch and had fun (even being on a server with a massive zerg guild on the other side) but left shortly after they put trees in the boxes. That was it for me as well as the rampant land hacking my fellow guild members had to deal with (I had enough land from launch week) and one shot kills.
Loved the farming and fishing aspects (I enjoyed the Pvp even though I'm a "carebear".. it was quite a rush to make it without being ganked) but I won't support any game that is so obviously built to make as much money as possible from whales and nickle and dime via labor and exploit those with addictions.
So no, not all of us who bitch about the way Trion is are trolls. We're consumers who have voted with our money. I'm sure they have great margins (lower costs having 1 guy pay $1500 than 100 pay $15) and good on them for capitalizing on whatever it is that makes people spend thousands on virtual items but in the long run I'm hoping karma deals who ever made that decision a kick in the balls. That's what it felt like to those of us who fell in love with the game during Alpha.
There are people who are not trolling forums who just quietly move on and occasionally laugh their ass off when they see Trion popup again in topics due to the same crap happening again. Oh this time they rolled back so all is good. LOL.
All you haters need to get a real cause. The game is awesome has only gotten better with the latest update. No other game out there offers what ArcheAge does - not since Star Wars Galaxies anyway.
It's a game. It's a game company. BFD- poor players couldn't "play". You need to be smacked - seriously.
Microsoft, Google, Yahoo - all huge tech companies with the best talent in the world - they've all stumbled here and there.
The fact is that besides the occasional issue - this game runs PRETTY FREAKING SOLID - 99% of the time.
I've been playing the game for 3 months. This is the game I've been waiting for. This is the game that has finally allowed me to leave Warcraft - permanently.
For anyone reading all the hate, take it with a grain of a salt and understand that the jaded are always more prone to spew their hate.
There are thousands of players like me that love this game that can't be bothered to compete with majority of hate reviews like these.
It's not for everyone. But if you like owning land, crafting, farming, pvp, sailing a pirate ship, give it a shot. It's free to try out.
On the new server i made a char on there are already people with 4k gearscore...
They swipe that opun credit card and own face, no way to catch up anymore with many of those players.
The sad part is that Archeage could just do like Black Desert Online does and make a subscription only server with no cashshop where you can buy everything with gold instead of swiping your credit card and win the game.
Realy sad how a game with such nice features and awesome naval combat must have this bad of a pay to win system.
The game was doomed from the start. The great sandbox, that has ZERO NPC interaction, linear questing that makes WoW look revolutionary, no pickpocketing, no NPC killing, no looting, and farms. The cash shop is on par with a Las Vegas casino and the hacking/glitches/bugs are laughable. Google Archeage hacks and there are 1000 videos spanning 2 years of garbage you can do with a 2nd grade education and a mouse. I have a pet penguin that bought 3 houses across the map from each other then spawned in gold.
Devilian is the savior though, keep buying Asian crap and the US buys into it.

Fingers crossed on Black Desert Online...
