I had a game I played.. between me and my roomie we had 9 accounts. We were part of 3 different and very active player cities. I would not in anyway reactivate the 9 accounts to go to a server where I had completely lost everything. The reason I quit to begin with was they took away what I had. Why would I go back to basicly still have lost it all to start over with the game I had. The game they took away being run by the same company that took it away. On some priniple basis I'd like to agree with you. I in fact doubt most of my friends would ever come back. But with the scenario you describe... I would (if it existed) rather play on a private emulated server than deal with SOE. I just wouldn't see the point of basicly a world wipe (lost everything) to redo what I've done. Then 2 years from now how them say a CU->NGE was needed etc... But that's just me.
Honestly those so-called planets dont belong in Koster's design. The loot rewards were too good. The planets were nothing more than elaborate dungeons with zero exploration. The second I saw that I couldnt go wherever I wanted to on Kashyyyk at Celebration 3 I knew the expansion wasnt for me. They would have to totally redo the rewards to schematics, make them larger real planets that can be explored, and get rid of the instancing for them to fit the pre-cu concept. Personally, I could live without them. They dont belong in the timeline anyway.
Mustafar for the most part is explorable, the only invisible walls are those at the top of the mountains surrounding Tulrus Isle and the mountains around the Stormlord otherwise you can travel it like any other planet
I don't want Kash or Mustafar I want the Pre-CU now LA know we don't want the NGE, we don't want anything besides the Pre-CU it will come back now lol! And everyone knows it is coming back now too, no more NGE, Jedi will go back to being uber, and things will be what they should be. We the playerbase have won, even long time NGE supporters on the SOE fourms are shutting there accs down now that they lost there noobfriendly NGE lameness.

We have in no way won my young friend! We have bloodied the enemies nose that is all. Too sit back and cry victory at this point is premature at best. We must keep up are assault until there is only one course of action to our enemy, total surrender! We must crush them so completely that no other future agressor will ever dare to try and implement an NGE onto a unsuspecting community. Pre-CU SWG is dead and gone, the only thing left for us to do is punish it's murderer SOE!

They need to scrap the game, and bring out SWG2. But, with the elements of the game play that everyone enjoys. Maybe they will figure that out with this whole focus group experiement. I applaud their effort, however its a little too late.. 3 accounts canceled, and it feels great. off to play some mindless COV with excellent pvp!
If SOE wiped my character I wouldnt come back regardless of what version of SWG they rolled back to, the problem with NGE (for my character) is that the NGE invalidated all my character progress - wiping my character is ultimately no different than leaving the NGE in place.
I'm not slogging my way through droid engineer again given its a loss leader profession as there is basically no market for the items
I'd play either Pre-CU or Pre-NGE (I'd prefer pre-CU)
