From now through January 6th, Devilian players can experience the legendary thing your mom always told you when you asked to borrow the car: "When hell freezes over..." Guess she owes you the keys! It actually has in Devilian and players can experience Hell Freeze complete with carols, quests, costumes, Talisman boxes and more.

Hurry up Lineage Eternal, enough of this crap.
Lineage Eternal will not be coming out for a long time still, ncsoft is still making crap ton of money with lineage in korea, hell their most profitable and most money making game currently is lineage. They are not going to jeopardize it by releasing a new variation of the game that players mighty not even eat.

However yes you are correct it never hurts to try a game for yourself you never know if you are missing something you might like.I'll tell you though i have very easy criteria to understand a game before i even enter it...if it looks cheap ,it is cheap.
There is only one cheap game i am currently playing and that is Hearthstone and i would not be playing it if i had a viable option.So yeah 35 years of gaming has taught me that cheap looking games will never be good.Now if this game was released say mmmm 15 or closer to 20 years ago it might be pretty good.
Even still i would not have dropped EQ or Quake or Unreal to play this game even 15- 20 years ago.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

If you offer news, reviews and features for products of companies you have direct marketing and financial deals with you have a conflict of interest.
And if you want to take all the benefits you get from the advertising revenue and other marketing, you have to take the negative consequences and natural ethical questions that rise from that. Attempting to sound victimised doesn't help anything at all.
I like how we're not allowed to post news about games or companies you don't like. That's cute.

no one said that your not allowed to post new about games that people don't like,but why is that you post ONLY positive stuff about trion worlds games ?
every now and then you post some news about some game and you say,dont give this or that game a shot cos its a moneygrabbing game,you cant even play normaly without paying alot of money,now tell me,whats archeage or devilian ? same thing with both games,they will make founder packs every 2-3 weeks with new unique costumes and stuff that affect game and release it for 150-200 euros,and who ever buys that will have more advantage over every1 else,cos thats thats happening to archeage right now,now i dont mind you putting news out for trion worlds,every game should be posted in news BUT,atleast be truthful,post both BAD and GOOD stuff about games from trion,not just GOOD,for some reason,Webzen always recives full hate from MMORPG.COM and trion always recives full support,is that cos trion pays you to post stuff about their games and webzen doesnt ? or whats going on here ( not supporting webzen,just sayin what ive seen how you do your news here ) cos in my opinion,a site that lies will not last long
I will always come here to check news about new games,but few things have changed,when seeing your reviews from different games,i always go and check other sites with their reviews about a game,cos in past year or two,i havent seen 1 fair and truthful review from you,and for a fact i know im not the only one.
Now is it better to ruin your site reputation to lie for some company who's game will fail with or without your POSITIVE news,or is it better to post truth and let the gaming community decide if they think they should give game a shot or not and while at that they will consider your site a truthful and good gaming site ?

@hyutei I beg to differ that this LEGITIMATE news piece has anything to do with liking/not liking the game. It is simply reporting on an in-game event, not making a judgment about whether or not it's fun or even worthy of attention. And it has even less to do with Trion and our opinion one way or another of their business practices.

that might be true,but i wasnt talking about just this news but about most of news you make,and the reason for that is,when ever i make a hate post about trion or 1 of their games,my post gets deleted,when i make a hate post about some other game,no1 cares,cos its not trion,now please explain that to me
As for reviews, I think you're just plain wrong. On average, we score MUCH lower than the average site on Metacritic, and the highest game from Trion we've ever scored was Rift, their first game. Everything else has been 7s or lower. Defiance being the lowest at launch, only getting higher with a re-review when it improved.
So please, don't presume to think we're shills, unfair, or otherwise just because you DISAGREE with the content and opinions of our authors. That's called a difference of opinion, and is not due to a lack of integrity or honesty on our part. ArcheAge didn't even get a very good score. 7.3 isn't exactly blazing the charts, and you'll notice I called it out for a lot of issues in the review. I think it deserves the flack its been getting since then too, because Trion and XL can't seem to right the ship.
Now next week I'll be posting my full review of Devilian. I fear no matter what number I assign the game, you'll think I'm paid off unless I come out scathing against it. Fact is, I paid MY OWN cash for a founder's package of the game and yes I do think it's far better than ELOA which was clearly rushed to market by Webzen in the West. Regardless of that little factoid though, I think Devilian has a lot of systems that do little to help the grinding and repetitive nature of its main content structure. It's a popcorn MMO, and it's lacking in longevity.
But for my reasons why, and the full review, you're just going to have to come back next week.
@Athisar You probably won't believe this, because no one ever seems to, but advertising on MMORPG and Editorial content DO NOT INFLUENCE EACH OTHER. The only time we ever cross paths is if Craig (the owner) sells a Sponsored Content piece. I then approve it or decline it, and we post it, clearing marking it as paid. Everything else? Not influence by the money spent on ads here. We have, on many occasions, posted scathing reviews of our biggest advertisers. One of which even pulled their ads, because they didn't like our review. So please, tell me again how much you know about this business because it's clearly jack shit.

On Topic: While I havn't played Devilian, its a pretty cool idea to have Christmas/Winter Holiday in HELL. Definitely Unique.
