one Question

before I run out and buy this did they ever solve their lag issue, when you walked into a tavern you would get 5 minutes of lag while you waited for the game eviroment to catch up

It appears that most of us with dual video cards in SLi mode have the same issue. I turned off SLi mode and had no problems. Most properly coded games will run on SLi.

I don't have much of the issuea nymore either.  I'm running a Radeon 9800pro and just turned the graphics quality to medium and it has help quite a bit.  Didn't fix it but it leads me to believe that the bulk of that issue could be fixed with a better video card.

I'm running a gforce 7800GT and last night the lag was really bad in the tavern. In fact at one point my comp froze up on me and i had to reboot. Ofcourse, at the time there were well over a hundred people on my screen, all rendered at high quality. So I blame myself for going into a highly populated area at peak times with graphics cranked up rather than poor code.

Lag was a lot worse the first couple days when virtually everybody was still in the starter area. We're spread out better now and I'm not noticing any lag except when going into taverns - which is where everyone goes for rest, quests and to sell sundry loot. Even that is getting better though as more people get access to other areas of the cities... and more taverns.

A better video card won't help it. I am running dual nVidia gForce FX-7800GTX. I have tried SLi and non-SLi modes and even removed one card to see if it was a dual card issue.  Plainly put ... it's a poor quality engine.

While in the game and you get the "lag" .. go into options and change your resolution and don't keep the changes. This seems to "flush" the video memory and temporarily fix the issue.

I won't mention the best engine out there (initials are GW) ... but I can max everything and never drop framing below 64fps.
