Greetings!

I already have the game (imperial edition?) on PC and yet I have never had the opportunity to play the game until now. But since I have a brand new cauch and a brand new TV, I was thinking of playing the game on my PS4 :)

So, here are the questions:

A ) QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CONSOLE VERSIONS=

1-Does the Xbox One have noticably better graphics in ESO in comparasion to the PS4 version?

I have googled it up, but mostly came up ''empty handed''... But here is what I have managed to find; One site seems to tout that the Xbox simply have the superior Graphics in comparasion to the PS4 (while playing ESO), while another one praises the special effects/godrays etc on the Playstation 4 version, and ultimately ends up giving a ''thumbs up'' for that platform.

2-One of those very aforementioned sites ALSO praises the Controls for the XboxOne version (Calling it ''silky smooth Controls'' or something like that).... while not notifying us of any such ''positives'' for the PS4 version.

Is it true that the Xbox Controls work better for this game than what it does for the PS4 version (im kinda suprised here).

B ) QUESTION ABOUT THE PC VERSION=

Does the game ''fully'' support the Xbox360 controllers now (like, ''out of the box'') ?

I mean, does the game come with pre-ordanined Controls and its own drivers (whatever) for the Xbox 360 (WIRELESS) controller so that I can just activate my gamepad and play the game using it? OR do I have to buy/download third-party programs and calibrate it all so that it could work? (I have read that after the LAST DLC/Expansion, that ought to be full-controller-support but im not sure..)

C ) GENERAL QUESTIONS=

1-CLASSESS: If I pick the Dragon Knight class, than can I eventually create a character that wields a large two-handed sword, wears Heavy armor, AND slings some Lightning and/or firebolts (or such) at mobs? Is such a character build viable? Is it even possible?

2-We can indeed become vampires or werewolves in ESO, right? (heheh, at least Google says so! :D)

But ''how Deep in to the game'' do we get such an opportunity? Do we have to be really high level to accomplish that (NOT COMPLAINING- just asking). And how good are the vampire/werewolf transformation and skills, actually? Is it just a ''gimmicky'' feature in ESO, OR is it actually good (at least in PVE combat)? And ehm,, do vampires get wings like some of the ones in Skyrim?

Thank you very much for any replies.

Cheers :)

    Console version
1- XBO ESO does not have better graphics than PS4 ESO. They are fairly similar but ive heard the XBO version has more frame drops than PS4 version, for obvious reasons...
2- I would expect the XBO controls to be smooth but i dont know. The controls on PS4 are silky smooth too and the game also uses the Dualshock 4 touchpad so you have extra buttons.

    PC version
1-The main reason why i moved from PC to PS4 ESO was because it did not have controller support out of the box. I heard they were adding it but unless it was recently added, then it doesnt have support. Xpadder didnt work very smoothly with that game.

    General

Every class can use every weapon and every armor. Each weapon has their own skills, and each armor as well. And each class as well. There is a lot of stuff going on. I wish there was more though....

Yes you can become a badass vampy or werewolf through a nice quest. You can be turned at any level if you find a player to bite you. But to do it on your own you have to be in the level 30s i believe because the enemies you have to kill for the questline are around that level.

Vampy and werewolf doesnt get any Skyrim-like goodies, but they are still quite fun. All my characters are/will be vamps. Its just fun.

EDIT: If you get bitten at an early level you might get slaughtered doing the quest line to become vamp/wolf, so i always wait to the appropriate zone level since it is a solo quest.

I agree with everything you said except about the level required to finish the vamp or WW questline.  The lowest level I finished the vamp questline was 15.  It wasn't easy at all and took patience to finish.  But, it can be done.

I don't know about XB1 vs. PS4 graphics other than their differences in all games are always minimal and get overblown depending on the bias of whoever is talking. I have the PS4 myself but I barely play ESO on that. I much prefer the PC using a 14 button mouse and WASD. I can tell you that the PC graphics are definitely superior to both XB1 and PS4.

The PC now does support controllers but it's a brand new feature that I haven't tried myself - maybe someone else can help you with how good the support is.

You can use any weapon with any class and all 4 classes use some form of magic. But if you want ranged magic then the Sorcerer and Templar are the two best classes for that. Whatever you build there are two paths to use: stamina or magicka builds. Depending on which one you go for some skills work better with one of those. The best site for beginner build ideas complete with good videos on how to play them is http://deltiasgaming.com/ Just have a look around there.

WW and Vampires are in the game and have a lot of very useful skills and weaknesses also: WWs are weak to poison and Vamps are weak to fire. WW abilities are stamina based and Vamps magicka so each works best with a different type of build... think WWs for builds emphasizing weapon damage and Vamps for those that emphasize magic damage.

The game is designed around becoming a WW or Vamp in your late 30s / early 40s but you can become one much earlier than that - even in your teens. You can hunt for an infection in the wild in specific areas or get someone who is already one to infect you. The second option is far easier and is usually free if you're in a good guild - otherwise some players will sell those bites although there are also scammers who will take your money and run.

Skills have gone through almost 2 years of balancing now. Once upon a time vampires were almost godlike but not any more. WW and vamp skills I would say right now are slightly better than other skills but you do have to take their increased vulnerability into account - especially the vamp's fire vulnerability since there is a lot of fire damage in both PVE and PVP.

I play on PC, so have no info to offer about the graphical quality of either game system.

ZoS has implemented built in controller support on the PC. Just have to turn it on in the settings. You can bind controls to your gamepad on PC; you can't do this on either game system as far as I know.

Neither game system has text chat. It's all voice. ALOT of complaints about this.

You can receive the bite to become Vamp/Were at any level from another player. Whether or not you can complete the quest is up to you. The quest is Solo.

I turned into vamps and weres at around level 12.  Turning vamp at a low level was easy as there were guides on what weapons to use and you fought single targets.  Now the werewolf quest sets to your level so even low levels can do it easily.  And I thought I saw potions in the store so now you can just buy a potion that will change you into either I guess.

It has controller support but an afterthought on PC version, but console versions are better for constroller support anyhow but PC version is the better version overall.

Thank you all for the replies. LOL you guys have restored my faith on the internet, heheh :)

Very useful replies, and just the kind of information that I was looking for, so thank you again.

Regarding my decision; I have finally decided to go for the PC version.

    WHY?

    1-Better Graphics (obviously I guess, heheh )

2-60 frames instead of 30 on the console (is this correct?)

3-Out-of-box / plug-in & play Controller support (yeep, I tried it out on the PC version of ESO now, works mostly fine, didn't notice anything particularly bad with it yet)

4-AND; Chat Box! (PERSONAL TASTE - but I must humbly state that it is important for me)

Especially number 3 and 4 were the deciding factors for my decision to go with the PC version.

i can only really answer the first few questions. i play eso on all three (pc,ps4,xb1) ps4/xb1 have the same graphics. not one better then the other. i get frame dips in pvp on both ps4 and xb1. And on pc its server lag in pvp.

Control wise i prefer how the xb1 is laid out (ps4 feels a bit clunky to me) but other then that they both respond around the same. The joys to owning both consoles is the lack of favoritism that most have.  only thing i need it my custom ps4 controller and i will be good to go on all ends.

As for the support for xb controllers on pc, my friend uses one and said it translated fairly well to mimic eso on xb1.
