yea.. read my post about this before, the thing about where i wish i could teleport... they're stupid celebrities that sing or look good, i could name so many better games than the ones that won... obviously, they just awarded games that had bunch of commercials and crap

After only 20 minutes I turn the channel. Best VG based off a Moive: Enter the Matrix??? PHaaaaaaaaaaaa. The game sucked worse then the movie.

Watching the show almost made me feel embarrased that I play video games. That wasnt the best presentation.

Should have had a yitload more catagories. Console and PC catagories.

I appreseate you bringing us this list, my thanks. However I am no fan of Spike TV, and have a few issues on this.

A) These guys are not even gamers.

These guys are a bunch of jocks so of course sports games rank among the so called best games.

C) These guys are among the top of the food chain when it comes to huge multi-million dollar corporations, and care only for the indorsments that game companies like EA can give.

D) This contest was simply a way for them to get ratings.

E) They are on T.V. so they suck.

There now I feel better. It's 5am and I just finished playing a 6 hour run of FFXI. Boy this game is blowing my mind. So maybe Spike and his boys got one thing right. G'night.

True crimes was a awesome game. Way better then gta and vice city in my opinion and yes ive played both of them. But i do miss the motor bikes

Riddle me this, Batman: How in the hell could THUG win Best Sports Game and Madden 2004 win Game of the Year? If Madden 2004 got beat out by THUG in a lesser category, then how does it get top overall honors?

And ENTER THE MATRIX? If anything was ever a product of a hype machine, this was it. What a complete DOG! How about Tron 2.0 as a better choice?

And shouldn't they wait until the end of the year so that all the games for 2003 are released before they start bestowing awards? Kind of convenient that they gave these awards out right at the beginning of the Christmas (and Christmas ADVERTISING) season.

I agree with whoever said that the SpikeTV people are aiming for big ad contracts rather than giving credit where it's due. Get some gamers making the decision rather than account executives. Someone at Spike needs a rectal craniectomy.

P.S. I checked the winners at http://www.spiketv.com/ and Splinter Cell won best handheld game.

Best PC game: Halo? I agree, anything besides Halo. While I didn't see the show, I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean, I did see the comercials for it and my main question was, if you are going to concentrate on just giving away awards to the best games of the year, then why in the world are you advertising Jenn Jameson being there? Oh wait, that's right, it's because all you truly want is ratings and money. Just wait for gamespy to release their awards. At least they are voted on by gamers.

Oh and anyone else notice that pretty much all of the winners were released within the last 3 months. They have been making games all year people, what about them?

Edit: Oh and Half Life 2 is far more anticipated than Halo2.

splinter cell won best handheld game if some1 didnt answer that. (bull@#$%). tactics was by far the best. i would say harvest moon, but thats a recent release.

ramon noodles are good! i could probably live without cable as well, the only show i watch when i can on cable is most extreme elimination challenge. other than that cbs is the best. i dont even watch much tv nowdays though.

How is soul caliber 2 most addictive? It lasted me 40 minutes until i took it back. And yes Half Life 2 is the most anticipated game not halo 2. I bet most of the people at the awards haven't even heard of mmorpg's either. They seem like the type who are only familiar with the popular games like tony hawk and vice city.

and no Vice City shouldnt have won any awards, IT WAS A COP OUT(compared to gta3... way to many bugs) but i did like the music alot. BUT none of the music was original, so thus I wouldnt think it should have won the music award.

there's way over 100 different flavor things, just about any flavor you can come up with. (and dont' come up with crazy flavors, which i know some will do)

oh yea, soul caliber is like the least addictive game for me(only because no one will play against me )

AH, I love that game to an undefeatable extent. This game is one of my passions in free time. Although, I must say that not going to the gym because of this game is a bad habit. Take it from one who knows

ramen noodle are not so good cause they stoped making the low fat brand. 1gm of fat was ok / pack, but 18gm is just too much.
