@BillMurphy@Kyleran I'm with Bill's evolving policy in this one, but OTOH I still consider leaving CU out a mistake, and not a small one. We left potential winner out, and likely half of that list won't be out in 2016 as well (and I'm feeling generous today); I can point out 2-3 easy certain picks for 2017+ if need be.
Simply adding CU or going with "2016 and beyond" or...<insert random bad idea> would be better than this IMHO.
Not really interested for any new MMOs next year but I am looking forward to ESO's new DLC.
RPG is easily Mass Effect because I love that universe so much though there are a few others in the list which I am excited for. I don't think Cyberpunk will be in 2016.
MOBAs aren't my thing, voted for Overwatch as it looked the more interesting out of them all.

Anyone not anticipating Cyberpunk 2077 should have their CRPG gaming license revoked
Slick videos are like resumes, most always look great. I'll wait for actual pc game play footage before I commit my gamers license to this. Nice video, and I would watch it if it was going to be a movie... :-)
I have been enjoying the Blade & Soul beta lately.

It's true that CGI promotion videos are a dime a dozen. So I'm discriminating on which ones I pay attention to and which I ignore... developer of the year CDPR using the same 3D engine they used for their game of the year W3 based on a long-established P&P RPG IP... not your run of the mil promo.
But hey, I understand: some people don't do the anticipation foreplay thing well

Much anticipating is the quickest way to much disappointment.
ie: Fallout 4
It's inevitable to look forward to play games with a nice concept or settings that we think we'll love, though I find usually the best games are those that you didn't expect that much from.
As an example, the games that for me were the best of 2014 and 2015 (Divinity: Original Sin and The Witcher 3) weren't that high in my "anticipation charts". That worries me a little, because I really want Mass Effect Andromeda to be a mind blowing game and I'm almost expecting it to be so. I hope I'm mistaken in saying that it's very likely that it won't meet my expectations.

My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.
Why force us to choose between Torment: Tides of Numeria and Cyberpunk 2077? That's like asking which 80% dark cocoa is your favorite when you are a chocoholic! =(
Camelot Unchained is missing yet there are crap games listed that readers have never heard about. WTF is that all about?! Did someone forget to give a little "present" to the person making up this list????

I fail to understand, Bill, why you have listed a load of crap for the MOBA nominations, when quite apparently Paragon is the choice for 2016. I will thus abstain from voting in that nomination. In case you are unaware of the title you can read more about it at https://www.epicgames.com/paragon/
Project Red has said that Cyberpunk 2077 will be released next year. And I have to agree, Cyberpunk 2077 will be something very special. The creators of Witcher series making a game which is 4 times as big as the Witcher 3. Also they have been working on this game for 5 years or so already. I am sure they are in the polish fase of the game. I can not wait to learn more about this game.
Who cares what players think might be a good game next year? Unless players have stocks or shares in an upcoming game, why is that important now, time will tell.
I was going to vote Cyberpunk, but then realized, it's probably not coming out this year, we haven't even seen 1 gameplay video yet, and this list assumes we'll see it this year? rofl! So I picked Kingdom Hearts 3, although I don't even consider it an RPG, more like an action rpgish adventure game. Mostly because it's been on my want list for years, far longer than anything else on the list.
Picked Albion too because of all the games on the list, that one has tons of vids from the closed betas and shows how it's grown and where it's going and it looks a lot closer to release then the others listed.
Wow...didn't realize how bad off MMOs are until seeing a list of what's coming in 2016.
And MOBAs really suck...pretty awful that's all a lot of big publishers are willing to fund in terms of multiplayer only games.
About 100 million moba players disagree with your assessment of the genre.
I would argue the MOBA market is beyond saturated with a single game with about 90% of all MOBA players. Look at all the decent MOBAs which were released or near release that were canceled due to lack of players.
The MOBA market simply already peaked. And all tangible, objective data supports that.

There is no question that MOBA market is basically a handful of games having 99.9999% of the playerbaes.
This is why making a new MOBA that competes heads on with LoL/Dota2 is pretty much a failure from the start.
Ok, so you were being facetious in your prior comment since those 100 million plus aren't playing a 'genre'; they're basically playing one game period (and have shown they are unwilling to move to other MOBAs).

Haha LoL and Dota2 are what 100milion player play - but the MOBA genre has more to offer than that.
FPS MOBAs, turn based MOBAs, strategy MOBAs - there's a lot more to come.
The key thing is to NOT make another game that is like LoL/Dota2 - nobody wants to play that.
Well, by definition, you can't really have a FPS 'MOBA' and MOBAs already are 'strategy' games since they are a strategy sub-genre.
I'm removing Cyberpunk 2077 at the request of CD Projekt Red. They hope to have it out in 2016, but don't want to promise it.
Booh! But yeah, that's what I thought

I will say this.... Thanks MMORPG.com Staff for getting the poll up for us. Much appreciated. Not your fault what games are available next year.
