Has this game improved? I played a bit about a year ago or more and really enjoyed it but found the graphics good but clunky. This interface was also some what clunky and the enviroment was bad. Has Cornered rat fixed the clipping issues, flat trees and such. Also I noticed that the sys reqs have gone up to 1Ghz. Has it always been this or what?

Infantry have just had a rework last week, couple out standing bugs but they've sorted out a lot of the clunky infantry, warping stuff. Infantry now lie down on slopes instead of shaking their heads while you get mowed down by tanks.
Flat trees are gone, we now have speedtree ... erm trees and 75% of the buildings have changed into 3D ones.
I assume you mean 1 gig memory, the game has always required a good chunk of memory, although they have cut out around 140meg of unnecessary textures in the last 6 months and FPS has boosted for a lot of people in game.
Hell I can even fly now which I couldn't do 2 months ago due to stutters (still doesn't mean I'm very good mind).
My advice is to have go, then again it would be heh.

Well, I used to play with my 933mhz PIII, but now the sys req are for a 1.2 Ghz P4. This is what I meant by 1 Ghz, but in the end my 933 barely had the ass for the game.
I am glad the CR has done the upgrades. This is a great game and really breaks away from the mold of games we see today. I am hoping that this game continues to evolve into the best MMO game on the market. The thing I loved about this game is that WW2OL is the only game that really got my heart pumping!

Its looks really good; without question my favorite all-time game. Even when I get sick of it and dont play for awhile I come running back two weeks later.
The problem with the game is CRS's lack of Bug fixing on this game. There are bugs in this game that have been here forever !! And for some reason they keep telling everyone it is very hard to fix....
That is their big excuse.
But They are shying away from the Sim aspect of the game slowly.
Have the grenades been fixed in WW2OL yet?
Grenades still don't bounce, but they will produce concussion effects where your vision blurs and your movement slows. I've killed quite a few players with grenades this campaign, still can't throw them through windows mind

Lucid, which bugs are still out standing? Just as a matter of interest?

It must be your lack of skill then Sres. It's perfectly possible to throw grenades through windows. I've done it on many occasions, although it still happens regularly i throw them against the wall (next to the window) and kill myself in the process.
IMO, the concussion effects are great (actually the same as in CoD), but add more difficulty to the game.
WWIIOL has improved like it has always been doing over te years. The rats seem to be focussing on eye-candy now. However 1.23 will most likely include server-tracked objects so bouncing grenades will become possible. This will make defending the radio's even more difficult. Better not hide in the closet anymore!

It's definetly a practice thing Corto, I can throw potato mashers through murderholes in ABs without a problem, I know how to line them up to throw them perfectly. I just can't find a position to throw the allied grenades. All to do with how you hold the grenade before pulling the pin.
First STO is going to be an MSP, so you'll be able to spawn a rifle once you get off, great for defending your own MSP (because most others won't bother). STOs would help grenades, however I'd like to see the physics they have to put in, I'm guessing that they will take a while to sort out.
If anything you'll see more static objects, so persistent hulks, persistent corpses on the battlefield, MSPs and persistent ATG guns in the field.
Having a number of corpses lying on the ground would make for some interesting thoughts, I mean, would you run across a field strewn with corpses? Or drive your tank down a road where you can see 3 flaming tank hulks.
