Can I still buy a 7,500$ dinner with the CEO and get a star named after me? Think its worth it?

I decided to become a whale in some games, just wonder how your dinner was, what are they serving for 7,500$ ?
Did you find your star system in the 4 billion other systems, did they give you a map or something?

I´m interested in this reward from Kickstarter:

Pledge USD 7,500

"Dinner with myself and the key team members in Cambridge, Have a central star system named* after you, plus all rewards above."

sure OP, why shouldn't they take your money? 7500 is cheap and that star system name makes the deal even sweeter.

they also like to charge full triple A price for a content-free expansion posing as a separate game.

Something gotta pay for the 250K salaries for the managers, right? check out their shareholder report for more details

when you meet them please ask them when the separate offline game they promised will be released (spoiler: never)

Out of curiousity, what are "all rewards above"?

Ah found it. The prior tier included "The writer’s pack: The right to write one piece of written fiction set in the Elite: Dangerous world, and (subject to reasonable approval of the content) release it commercially, without paying Frontier further royalties, independently of the game. This category includes all the rewards above. Frontier will cooperate to allow the system name, commander name, planet name, planet description, space station names to be positioned and used in a way to support the fiction within the game. Frontier will also help publicise your title at the time of release of “Elite: Dangerous”, as long as it is finished at that point, alongside the official sequel to “The Dark Wheel”.

So you'd actually be paying £500 for dinner with the team and a star system named after you. Not so bad if you were a writer looking for a royalty free license and wanted something personal from the project. £500 more than I would want to pay if I was in that position though.

All kickstarter options ended with the kickstarter unlike another game that you guys are sadly trying to deflect for.

    Have fun

OP has apparently decided to go to various non-Star Citizen forums and start similar threads.  Somehow he thinks this will help "defend" his game.

I'm a fan of SC.  Doing things like this is just silly.

meh, not interested to buy me the right to write a novel.

Maybe I should just ask if they can name a star after me, and give me a special thanks credits in the next expansion, it´s only 4,500 bucks and they didn´t sell them all yet.

    Pledge USD 4,500 or more

    7 backers Limited (8 left of 15)

Have a frontier star system named* after you, and a 'special thanks' game credit, plus all rewards above.

you also do get all the above teirs (unless they are restricted in numbers) so it usually end up as a nice pile of physical and digital swag...

That is at least how it usually work.

This have been a good conversation

So I get physical and digital goods for a game I can play and not just concept art. Sounds like a better deal than some alternative that shall go unamed because I do not feel like being crucified today.
