I've only ever played bits and pieces of Act 1, but it always seemed really capable as an ARPG.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Got it since alpha access, leveled up to 28 back then but it was only first act. Now I've got 2 friends to buy it and we are already level 24 and having a blast! Good Job!

I cannot find it on Steam. I was searching for "Grim Dawn" Edit: I searched for Dawn and found it but if I searched for Grim it did not come up. Weird, but it is definitely on there

It's good to see an early access game actually moving from early access to release.

I've recommended this to a few of my friends who love PoE, and they fell in love with this game as well.

I like it but I like Devilian better.

Best ARPG on the market right now.  So far ahead of PoE and D3 as far as fun in playability and replayability.  The content and mood of this game is vastly superior to either of those flagships in the genre at the moment.  Poor knock offs like Devilian aren't even in the same league.  The itemization and AA of this game are better than anything else around at the moment.

Well considering it was posted as someone's opinion related to the game I think it is pretty safe to assume that the statement is subjective to me.

Do we really need people going around stating that people's opinions are subjective.  Have we really devolved into such a mess that it is necessary for a person to state that an opinion is subjective?  Really!?

Where did things go so awry.

Thank you for your time replying to my comment though and please know that I hope your reply has clarified to people that my opinion is my opinion which is subjective based on the things on which I base my opinion.  You are an outstanding fellow to be so devoted to the general populace that you want to ensure that nobody mistakenly goes around thinking that opinions on video games are fact.  Truly a saint at work.

Re-read your original post - does that sound like an opinion to you?

Sounds like an opinion to me.

On topic: I haven't played in awhile and i enjoyed it when i last played but man its taken some time to finally get this far. Still think Titan's Quest with all the mods was a better game but we will see when i next jump in.

I would definitely recommend Grim Dawn to anyone who likes ARPG's.

It's literally re-skinned Titan Quest. Even most mechanics are literally copy pasted from TQ.
  • zeropridezeropride Member UncommonPosts: 41
Best ARPG on the market. Hopefully on crates next project they use a engine like U5, the TQ engine is old as dirt.

Early backer of this game , and is imo the best ARPG out , it has managed to hit a sweet spot between D3 action and POE depth , it beautifully crafted unique and gritty world , with great lore...

Ive got over 500+ hours in this game for the past 2 years. And ive been playing since b18. It's the best damn ARPG on the market, just lacks the server side online component..but a great game to play with a friend or friends. This is the TRUE successor to Diablo 2 (and Titans Quest :P) ...it brings the music, the atmosphere, gore, engaging story and a huge open seamless world that's chock full of content including quest that doesn't hold your hand, you actually have to read the quest and also the world has numerous secrets you can come across such as keys to unlock dungeons or using dynamite to expose hidden walls or barriers in your way to other areas. Also the devotion system to further customize your character and also a faction/reputation system that can unlock enchants and gear. Also Rogue-like dungeons where once you enter..if you die you're finished for that dungeon until you reset the game. Game is easily 35+ hours first play through. And the end boss is harder then anything ive ever encountered in a ARPG in a very long time. Booting it up and hearing that tristam-ish music in Devils Crossing. <3 <3 <3 This is MUST BUY for any ARPG fan.

...Really? I just cannot seem to get into Devilian. I have been in the Beta. Still enemies do not come after you. Just seems like a shallow game. However, no problem in you liking something different. Honestly I wish POE was not online all the time and had gold instead of the current barter system. If that were the case I'd be all over that game as I like everything else about it.

I"m playing GD here and there. I like it as well but would like the characters to be a bit more aesthetically pleasing. Hmm other than that I find it to be an old schoole-ish ARPG which nothing is wrong with that in my book.

I'm glad they have made it out of early access and hope they reap the benefits of hard work and dedication.
