That elf looks pretty bad. He'd pass as a decent wax figurine I guess.

Not quite sure how to feel about this. On one hand, it may be the smart decision to go the animated route in the fact that some movies based on an animated game or series either turn out incredibly bad (Avatar the Last Airbender). On the other hand, you have some animated moves of huge franchises that ended up either bombing or just not doing well (Final Fantasy: Spirits Within). But then, you have some movies or TV series that do REALLY well even in the fantasy setting... spells and all (Game of Thrones comes immediately to mind) So really it's a toss up on whether they should go full animation or go the realistic route with actors and CGI.

I stopped playing WoW well over a year ago, as not only were the graphics far behind what should be the norm these days but the game was just getting stale and repetitive. However, good fantasy movies are few and far between and Warcraft DOES have a decent lore behind it. Blizzard can do so much with this movie if they really work at it.

Lets just hope they do the right thing and don't rush it.

I do have a question for everyone though. Would you prefer animated or actors/CGI?

I agree Warcraft has very good lore that I would like to see as a movie and animated would be better I think.

Well that to me look like someone went a bit to triggerhappy with photoshop (not that they are fake... just that the style is very heavyhanded) Will probably look better in "reality"

Also keep in mind that this movie has nothing to do with World of Warcraft per se as it is based on Warcraft: Orcs and humans. The first RTS game.

Still i am sure it will be bettre than the Hobbit.

This have been a good conversation
