You know that song by Three Days Grace? The one that goes, "I hate everything about you. Why do I still love you?" I hate that song... but yeah, that's Bloodborne. It's frustratingly hard, yet I can't stop playing. It's visuals are grotesque, but I find them hauntingly beautiful. I want to throw my controller through a screen, set my PS4 on fire, and punch the developers in the face... but I can't stop playing.

The architecture in this game is fantastic. So much detail. Amazing! I know I sound like a commercial but I watched a bunch of Let's Plays and I couldn't believe how Spectacular everything looked. Well, anyway.

I can never manage to play a game like this. I am ashamed to say it would be far to hard for me but I do admire the ability to play this and envy you your love-hate relationship.

Watched Al "serious gaming" play this and he was extremely frustrated,he swore profanity every 3 seconds.

His basic complaint was the non responsive controls.
To me the game is just too shallow to want to play it.Graphics are not that good, most everything is blacked out or too dark and not much color. The play area is very limited to small lanes.

The whole game is basically about timing,Here is a vid of Angry Joe laughing at his buddy playing then he takes the controller and gives it a whirl.

Bloodborne controls are anything but irresponsive and the graphics+art style is nothing short of amazing. World design is not about small lanes, on the contrary. The whole world is brilliantly connected and overall, game is fantastic. One just has to play it to understand the genius behind Bloodborne. Youtube videos don't do it justice.

And yes, as a Souls newb, this game was brutally hard, but I did manage to finish it. Also, it never felt boring or repetitive.
But, I don't feel like buying the DLC, because the game was hard enough for me as it is. I don't want to spend another month cursing at my screen. :)

"Irresponsive controls?" Lol. Next thing he's going to say is that Suikoden doesn't have enough recruit able characters (there's 108). Bloodborne has insanely tight controls, and the character responds immediately. Yes, the game is dark but not every area is dark. Some are bright (my favorite thing about the old hunters area) and some aren't, and I won't even dignify what you said about the graphics. Calling this game "shallow" is like calling Daggerfall small: wrong. If it isn't for you then that's fine, nobody is begging you to play it, but putting the game down isn't a smart thing to do.

Yea Bloodborne and Souls games are some of the best games ive ever played. The controls arr in fact very responsive. But it is about timing which I like because I cant stand twitch. These games sort of remind me of a hardcore dark atmosphere Zelda game. Fun combat and exploration with just a dash of "You Died" lol.
